Sinoa

7th day of Winter, 513 AV (afternoon)

Sinoa's day had been thoroughly spent in his textile class at the University trying desperately to crochet, knit and weave. As hard as the Pycon tried he just couldn't get anything to look right, the fact that all the equipment he was offered was much too large for him probably didn't help but probably wouldn't make a difference. Sinoa still enjoyed doing these activities but was still happy for a change of scenery and the World Ends Grotto usually had what he was looking for. Crowds of exotic travellers, beautiful music and other exciting performances had been what Sinoa had come to expect of the Inn. The Pycon enjoyed being one of the performers himself despite the mixed reviews he received from the patrons. It would seem that the aspiring flute player and dancer's work was an acquired taste one, that few had. It was hard to discourage Sinoa though and he loyally preformed as much as his School schedule would permit.

When he walked into the entrance Sinoa encountered Yomphs the Akvatari who he had tried to cheer up several days ago but who disappeared soon afterwards. As soon as Yomphs spotted Sinoa entering, a scowl appeared on her face and she fluttered away. Sinoa recognized that expression as a negative one and this made him very confused as to why she would do that to him.
"what's wrong Yomphys?" Sinoa said in pursuit of the upset Akvatari.

Sinoa

Yomphis turned to the Pycon wearing an even more horrible look on her face than before
"Your poor excuse for music ruined the message I was trying to convey with my masterful violin playing." she ranted " If you really do wish to pollute peoples minds could you please do it somewhere else, I've already claimed this area as my own."
Sinoa was dumbstruck at the insults that Yomphis was hurling at him, the pycon had no idea what he had done to deserve this treatment.
"I don't understand, I only meant to cheer you up" Sinoa replied
"well, you didn't..now please leave."
"this is some kind of game isn't it?"
Yomphis rolled her eyes "no this is not a game you silly little thing..I want you gone"
One of the Inns staff intervened by walking between the two as if they were afraid a fight were to break out at any moment "what seems to be the problem?" The Inn staff said sternly
"nothing" Yomphis replied quickly while avoiding eye contact.
"good..let's hope it stays that way" The Inn staff said as they glared at Yomphis before walking away slowly.

Yomphis fluttered closer to Sinoa.
"okay... you can stay...but I will personally help you improve so you don't make me and the other performers here look bad."

Sinoa didn't know how he felt about all this, first Yomphis insulted him and now she was willing to help him improve. Tall folk seemed so much more fickle then The pycons he knew, If one of the members of his pive was upset it was for good reason. Sinoa wasn't sure whether he should be upset or go along with her proposal. Since Sinoa didn't want another altercation he decided it was best to accept her help.
"I still don't know what made you so mad but I will allow you to help me if it will make you happy"
"good we will start now..follow me"

Sinoa

Sinoa followed Yomphis to a small park area nearby, while the sounds of the city could still be heard it was still much quieter then at Worlds End. The Akvatari turned to face Sinoa and glared at him with narrowing eyes.
"okay now I want you to think of simple story and a mood that relates to it" Yomphis demanded
Sinoa did his best to do what the Akvatari requested, but he had no idea why she wanted him to do this task.
"Um...there was once a butterfly" Sinoa said hesitantly as Yomphis remained unimpressed.
"the Butterfly lived in the ocean where she played her flute and made many frie-" before Sinoa could finish his story Yomphis stopped him.
"no...just no" yomphis shook her head in disappointment. "I can already tell that isn't a compelling story and if you can't even pull that off your music will forever lack any true feeling"

Sinoa wanted to know how to get "true feeling" out of his music even if he didn't fully understand what Yomphis meant.
"I want to know how to get true feeling from my music, can you teach me?"
"Of course I will, that is precisely what this is about...just give me a moment"
The Akvatari paused, clearly talking time to construct a story of her own in her head as Sinoa waited patiently for what was to come.
"I shall tell you a cautionary tale of sorrow and heartache, A young Akvatari women by the name of Yintsed had fallen deeply in love with a human noble. After observing the man from a far she finally gathered the courage to approach him. He was disgusted by her love and banished her from his sight. Crushed and broken the Akvatari sought help from an evil witch who used her dark magic to transform her into a human. The naive Yintsed was certain her love would feel the same way now that she also human, but her prince was transformed into an Akvitari and accused Yinstead of witchcraft. Yintsed took the blame for the Evil witches misdeeds and was burned alive." Yomphis said maintaining a dreary tone throughout.

Sinoa wasn't sure what to think of this horribly dark tale..was this where true music came from?
