Character Concept

Third son of the ruling head of the Souths, Hadseora was always meant to be a captain and later take care of the merchant business or of the shipyards. And so he has done, that and so much more.

Hadseora has been plotting and scheming since his early youth in order to fulfill a secret urge that was born into his group of friends. As the oldest and most noble race alive, it should be Eypharian’s place to rule over all of Mizahar, and who better than the Souths to lead that new empire.

Violent, merciless and selfish all coated with a coolness of thought and a veil of pacifism and mercantilist intents.

Character History

Born in the great hall of the Souths 3rd son to the head of the Southwinds, Hadseora shares no more than his father with his two older brothers. Born to his father second wife, Hadseora has fair skin and brown hair contrasting with his kin of olive skin and black of hair. Despite the gap of ages between him and his brothers being no bigger than 18 months he never played with them or enjoyed of their company more than the strictly necessary at the great hall. This did not mean he spent his childhood alone, far from it.

Hadseora never bounded with his two older brothers, but he had an host of cousins from his mother side and his best friend was his half brother Kallish, his father’s 7th bastard son. Hadseora and Kallish shared most things Hadseora considered relevant to share with a brother; they had the same wet-nurse, shared the first crash and the first loss.

They also shared the same teacher. Hadseora’s blood brothers often expressed their hatred towards Hadseora’s mother and despite the blood link between them and their younger brother they had no trouble extending their hatred to their little brother. After a fight when Hadseora was 6 years old when his oldest brother nearly drowned him his father gave in to his mother demands and had Hadseora’s care transferred to a new set of teachers. Hadseora left the great hall and went leaving with his mother’s family and all his cousins. Inseparable as they were Kallish followed his half brother into his new home.

In the hall of the Slaughtari’I Hadseora was exposed to the Irkavahru ideology. A relic of the past the Irkavahru ideology was born before the Valterrian during the Empire days, when some of the rich Epypharian families started dreaming about a coup that would place them on the reins of power. Seven hundred years later the ideology barely resembled the original ideas but had morphed into a mix of racial zealots and religious fanatics who perceived all other races in Mizahar as unfit to rule over the land the gods had given them to live in. For the Irkavahru only the Epypharian had the divine right to rule. Eventually resurgence of the Irkavahru ideology reached ears at the courts of Ahnatep and mesures were taken to arrest and eradicate their leaders. The Pressorah went to great extents to ensure that Irkavahru’s poison would not taint the Epypharian people, however for Hadseora and his band of cousins it was too late.

Hadseora was 9 when the Pressorah ordered the Irkavahru’s purge. Hadseora’s teacher, Ullah Nudaya, concealed himself and was able to evade the authorities. He kept nurturing his teachings to Hadseora and his cousins in secret, he told them they had been chosen by Dira and Makutsi to be the Great Octopus, Moro’wahad, that would free the way for Epypharian to reconquer their place as rulers.

From age 6 to 15 Hadseora was fed ideas of holy right to rule and purity of blood. At the age of 11 Hadseora and the band turned on Kallish for not having 6 arms, in their eyes signs of blood mix and treason the boy was strapped to a boulder are thrown into out of the peer into the water. The band stood there and watch their former comrade die. Later that day Hadseora cried, in silence, for the last time in his life.

Nudaya was able to pin Kallish’s murder on a group of Banshirian teens that used to roam the docks on the Bay of Southwinds. The incident rally more youngsters to join the Moro’wahad.

On the Summer of 494 AV, Hadseora and the Moro’wahad swam to a Svefran ship anchored near shore. In silence and covered by the moonless night the boarded the vessel. The twelve 14 to 16 year old Epypharians made quick work of the 9 Svefran aboard no sound echoed amidst the foggy bay. Drenched in Svefran blood the sale was raised and the anchor lifted. The Moro’wahad took the vessel past the Bay of Southwinds and into the wall outskirts. Many Benshira merchants make camp on the beaches near the city walls, avoiding paying the high prices of housing and warehousing registries for protection against larceny. The Moro’wahad thrown the stone anchor overboard less than 30 meters from the shore. Invisible in the night the group swam to the Benshira camp with the night fires acting like beacons calling them to holy work. The Benshira were all asleep but the massacre didn’t went as clean as the business on the ship. They first targeted all the men but by the time they were done the women and the children had awakened and the screams and cries echoed through the night waking neighboring camps.

One of Hadseora’s older cousins, a tall 6 armed Epypharian youngster all painted in blue, fearing they would be surrounded blew a shell horn sounding retreat. The group rushed back into the water carrying no prize and no goods from the camp, apart from the 26 kills. Back at the ship Hadseora was able to distinguish a redhead blazing on the wind, he was sure it was a woman as they had killed all men but all he could clearly make from the pose of the Silhouette was the flexing of a longbow.

The following events marked Hadseora’s character for life. The Benshira’s desert arrow hissed on the pitch-black night and carved itself on the back of one of the epypharian zealots, trying to climb back onto the deck, trespassing his hart and killing him instantly. The dead body stumbled back into the dark waters. One of the eldest Epypharians thundered on a guttural command in arumenic; “Khlar’h Odgara!” —raise the sale, “Muq’hard nottara!” — lift the anchor. Hadseora jumped on the water and several voices echoed in harmony “Parouf!” — Stop!

A cable was thrown off board and other two epypharians jumped on the water. Shortly after all the epypharians were aboard including the dead one. Hadseora calmly and carefully removed the arrow from the body, then walked towards the pile where they had previously stacked the svefran bodies. He asked for help digging up a particular body, one of the four he had killed. He had taken their lives with a single pierce through he heard with his slim long blade.

The arrow fitted perfectly on the hole his blade had made, he inserted it in and then thrown the body off board. “Let them blame the svefra for now!”

This night trailed the path of leadership for Hadseora.

One year and over 19 similar raids later the Pressorah agents arrested many scholars suspects of Irkavahru’s related activities. Most scholars were innocent and as far as Hadseora could dig up years later only his teacher was actually professing the old ideology. Following these events Hadseora decided to halt the rides so close to home till such time arrives where professing the true will of the gods for Epypharian hegemony are not seen as acts of savagery.

Moro’wahad’s activities shifted to an even more undercover matrix. The members now mostly close to majority were starting to lead their first vessels and work on the South’s merchant navy. They had now a new order; to secretly grow Moro’wahad’s power and amass an army to overthrow the rule of the Pressorah.
