Kassem opened his eyes. Sleeping beneath the surface of the grasslands wasn't particularly helpful in letting him know whether he had woken up at Syna rose or not, but he had been doing well in regards of waking up before then. He slipped on his vibrant cloak from his homeland before stepping outside. It was rather chilly and the fact that his cloak was meant to protect him more from harsh desert winds than cold weather the deserts still piercing cold weather.
Kassem always hated the cold. He was always grateful to go indoors during sunset and he did not particularly enjoy fighting the procrastination of early morning weather. Despite his bed beckoning, he slipped on his cloak and braced for the winter weather above the Sanctuary's Within.
It was a scary, unfamiliar thing, sleeping in a string of caves. He enjoyed running his fingers on the walls, though he wasn't sure he'd ever get used to it. Much like he'd never get used to the diet of these Riverians or the smell of all these animals in such a confines, but he rather enjoyed it. It fed his child like excitement for adventure, it was something new. It would feel that way for sometime after now.
