Markus Olavson [WIP] Appearance Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 24 Birthday: 90, Spring, 489. Birthplace: Denval Appearance: Markus is fairly tall, standing at six feet in height, and is built bulkily, at 190 lbs. His muscles are somewhat big due to his upbringing as the son of a blacksmith. His hair, reaching halfway down his neck, as well as his full, yet fairly short beard, bears an ashen blond colour. His eyes are as blue as the sea that borders to his home of Denval. Markus' face is cheery, with an honest smile rarely ever leaving his lips. Character Concept Though he is not too intelligent, Markus is a cheery person who loves nothing more than a good story. His wanderlust and wish to gather and even create more stories made him throw himself into a world of adventure, to gain friends, to gain experiences, and to gain knowledge and fables he can share with the people back home when he one day will return. Markus tends to be friendly and trusting to a fault, being oblivious to deceptions that would be obvious to many others. He has a fair bit of knowledge when it comes to blacksmithing due to his upbringing, although he suspects this is not going to help him much on his adventures. He also has a deep fear of spiders, pitch darkness, and a moderate fear of the undead. Character History Markus grew up in the city of Denval. His father was a blacksmith, and Markus was supposed to be his successor for when his father became to old and weary to work the forge as he used to. His mother got in an accident with a horse when she was young, causing permanent damage to her leg. This injury forces her to use a crutch everywhere, so she is mostly set to watch the shop while Markus' father works the forge. Markus also has a little brother and sister. His brother recently turned 18 years old, and is now experienced enough to work the forge if necessary. His sister is merely 13, and can mostly just help around the house. His upbringing was, in his own opinion, the best he could have hoped for. His parents loved and respected him, he was a role-model for his younger siblings, and they were never in any need of money. He actively sought out stories, and every time someone from the outside came to town, he was among the first to ask them about the world outside the city. Markus has always had a fondness for story-telling and adventure, with his wanderlust only being halted by a lack of money, and a lack of a successor. Now that his brother has become old enough to be a blacksmith alongside his father, and he has saved up enough money to buy himself some gear, he can finally start his adventure.
