Aria walked along in the forest, following a scent trail of a rabbit's. She occasionally paused to sniff to make sure she was on the right trail. Slight anxiety was in her mind- she had mostly stayed in her human form. Would she do it, she didn't know. She almost walked into the sight of the rabbit, stuck in her thoughts. She walked quietly in the shadows, tongue licking her fangs. When the rabbit turned, she jumped, though it was slow. She cursed as it ran, and she bolted after it, refusing to let it go. She managed a massive jump and bit it's neck, then ate everything else cheerfully. That wasn't too hard, she thought, sniffing again, trying to find another scent.
She found another scent, pausing to think what scent it was. Deer. Young, senses not fully there yet. Though it seemed to her advantage, she didn't really know. She followed the scent, a little doubtful that she would manage. She eventually saw the deer- small. Not too big. She ran towards the deer, and it turned, starting to run. She growled, not wanting to chase. Eventually, after a few moments of irritation, she caught up and jumped, raking her claws on the deer's pelt. The deer slowed a little, managing to regain its normal speed. " No you don't." She muttered, sprinting, clawing it's pelt again. More blood came out, and she kicked the deer's leg, making it falter and fall. She bit it's neck, ending it's life. She shifted into human form, and sighed at the blood on her hands. Deal with it, she thought.
She took out a knife, carefully skinning the deer, trying to mimic the movements of her father when he managed to get some meat. She sighed as she made mistakes, but soon managed out with a poorly cut pelt. She bit her lip and looked up, seeing it was almost evening. She shifted back into animal form, scarfing down the meat of the deer, and shifting back into human, with more blood on her hands. She sighed, walking back, humming a soft song.
Eventually, she found a small house, half in a small hill. She pushed the door open, and saw a Akalak. He smiled. " Never seen you around before. You going to sell the pelt?" She hesitated, then nodded. " Yeah. It's not too well cut though. " She approached the counter, placing the pelt on the counter. While he examined it, she took a quick glance at the goods. Bows, snares. Hunter's shop. She smiled, and he caught back her attention. " First time doing leatherwork?" He asked. She nodded. " Next time, if you bring me an animal, I can show you how it's done, but I keep the pelt." She nodded. " I'll pay you.. Say, 1 gold miza?" She nodded, tired. He smiled, taking the pelt and giving a gold miza. " Thanks. I'll be back!" She closed the door and walked back to Riverfall.
