Known as the Celestial Seat, Nyka is a religious city in Northern Sylira. Ruled by four demigods and traversed by a large crevice, the monk-city is both mystical and dangerous. [Lore]

Time for the shop

He was being lazy. He knew this and for the last year in Nyka he just stayed at the same pace. He had to fix that. He was not sure why he became so lazy when he came here but he sought to fix that even if it took him the rest of the new season.

Bang. Bang. Bang.

The sounds of the hammer hitting the heated metal filled his air as he swung the hammer down upon the metal that he was slowly crafting. The lump of iron in question was already heated in the forge. He was holding it down with his left arm as his right held on to a hammer to mold it even further or at least right now was to flatten it out a bit more.

He had placed the hammer down and moved to a pair of tongs, grabbing on to the iron and placing it back in the forge. He moved about the forge reheating the forge as he moved the blowers feeding the forge more air for the fires to have more life.

It was slow work but work he enjoyed nonetheless. His goal in the city was to be the best smith in the city but he had to focus and start doing that otherwise he would not move up or change. With a nod to himself he took the iron out of the forge and once again used the hammer once again raising it and slamming it down.

At last he placed the hammer down and used his left hand to slowly bend the heated metal and mold it as if it was just clay. His right hand using a pair of the tongs to keep it in place. The isur had it easy with this. For his arm made this hard metal just like a mold-able clay substance.

The handle was formed and small dagger was shaped at last. It was nothing special in his eyes for it was a normal dagger roughly about six inches. The handle was still the same metal from it but with a guard hilt sticking out slightly.

It still was not done. He had to sharpen it still to give it the edge for it was still blunt plus he still had to wrap the handle yet he had to do that once it was cool for the heat of the metal would bend too much if he used a sharpening stone on it so for now he placed it in a barrel of cool water as the hissing and steam came to life on the surface of the water.

It was slow work but work that had to be done. At least this was a start for this dagger would turn into many more. He always had a good talent with weapons or at least crafting them. He knew this dagger was crafted rather well. He still wanted to get a few more weapons up for the shop and stock up on a few more items.

He wanted at least around 15 daggers, 15 short-swords, 15 long-swords and at least 15 chakrams for weapons. For armour he wanted 15 padded leathers, 15 leather shields and 15 bucklers. Plus he wanted he make at least a few hoes, pitchforks and spades for some of the city members as well.

His armour list was not nearly as high as his weapons as he was trying to focus on the shop being mainly a weapon front but he still wanted to give some options for armour and shields. While the other small items like a hoe would be just blacksmithing and not a weapon or armour but it was a service he could give to the city for he knew they would need it.

It was still a large list and he still wanted to get most of it done by nightfall. It would be at least 105 items he wanted to try to get done but he knew he could not make that in a single day by himself. He would at least try to focus on the daggers and move down the list.

So for now the shop stayed closed while he worked and worked he did. The forge was reheated with the air pumping into the coals as he worked with the air blowers. Once he felt it was at a nice enough heat by the color he placed more iron into it and the artwork started over again.
