Timestamp: 29th Day of Spring 514 AV
It seemed like forever since she stepped into the woods, having not gone in a few days. It's peace still was there. That hadn't changed in the slightest. Hunting was no less to her than it had been in the past. In fact her love of it might have increased an inch; hardly surprising to her in the fact that she found it to be a chore in Avanthal.
Slinging her sack over her shoulder, she cast on a thinking face as she decided what kind of game she should get that day.
After a few moments of thinking, she came to her conclusion. She'd try to take something big down. Like one of the Nabato Cattle. She might not succeed but the effort would be good enough for her.
Stalking through the forest, Lys kept her movement's minimal; it'd do her no good if she was loud and clumsy. The woods were alive by then so she knew she'd have to be careful not to tread on anything like fallen twigs. Winter was her favourite season to hunt, whether it was Riverfall or Avanthal. The snow assured for her that she could track game easily by their footprints if the tracks were fresh.
She wasn't used to hunting in Spring when it wasn't snowing. In fact, it was her first Spring experience that wasn't in the slightest bit cold. The only advantage she could tell from the actual season when it came to hunting was basically setting snares. It was obviously going to be easier with all the foliage so in that retrospect, she guessed she wasn't complaining.
Then she heard a slight movement. Lys froze.
Darting her head quickly behind, she tried to find the source of noise. She couldn't see anything. Turning back around she shrugged of the noise when she heard the faint rustling again.
Wary, she slunk swiftly and quietly towards the nearest big tree. At least if the thing was dangerous, she'd be able to climb the tree as some form of escape.
"Who's there?" she called out, one foot already planted on her selected foothold on the tree.
