Overview:
Kurnstcraft, meaning the magic of art. is a world magic, involving two factions: Inkcraft and Paintcraft, is the a combination of magic and visual art. The Inkcrafter can actually fuse his Djed with the ink or paint. Each has a different result. Paint for instance is often used to create landscapes and scenes in which one can enter. The crafter could paint in any person of his choosing, causing them to be warped into the world painted. However for every person painted, their must be at least one drop of their blood in the paint for them to be captured into the painting. This even holds true for the paintcrafter themself, if he or she wishes to enter the painting.

It is very important that if the artist does decide to enter their own painting, they paint in a canvass, palet and brush. Otherwise the painter would have no exit, being trapped inside their own painting. To exit, the artist simply needs to paint the room or area in which they entered from, so observation would be a useful trait for the crafter. If a painting were to be destroyed while a being was inside of it, they would immediately be released into their original entry location. This means that a being captured inside of a painting can only remain captured as long as the painting stays in tact.

Blood has a different effect with ink. It can bring an ink rendering quite literally to life, bringing them out from the page. Higher levels of Inkcrafters can actually transfer some of the abilities of the person's blood into the creature. For instance if the blood was of a great dual warrior, the rendering could possibly half a good quality dual weapon skill. If the blood was from a strong magician, the rendering might have some minor magic skill, though they can not know anymore than one dicipline of the person at the highest of levels. Rendered creations cannot have any art skills however, being art themselves.

These renderings are extremely difficult to combat. Blades, hammers, and arrows seem to slip right through them as they would ink. They can also slip through cracks, by turning into ink and reforming. Despite these strengths there are 3 major faults of these living drawings. One being that they can only last a few days maximum of a few days until the Djed wears off, and they return to the page. The illustration can not be used again, since it would no longer contain any Djed. The artist must use a new render each time, putting time and care into each one. This creature can also be destroyed in two simple ways. One being, that the page in which it was created was destroyed. The second is a tad more interesting. If for any reason one of these living pieces of art were to touch a piece of paper they would be captured inside. However those with paper would either need to buy it or make it with papermaking skill.

Prerequisites:
Painting, if paintcraft is desired. Drawing, if inkcraft is desired. Both is recommended. Paper making is also recommended, since an artist uses a lot of parchment in this disipline of magic. If one desires to weild ink weaponry, they need the skill to weild the weapon of course.

Progression:
Novice:
The Inkcrafter has just barely begun to step into the art. At this stage they can not give life to ink renderings, but can create weapons, armor, or any minor items they can draw on paper that does not require life. However these would not posess the quality of normal armor or weapons. They are libable to splash into ink if damaged. This could be a benefit for some items, such as ink arrows. At this stage the ink could possibly temporarly blind their target.

The Paintcrafter is still working on the basics of fusing Djed with their material. They are not yet ready to place anyone inside of their pieces, however the paintings created can have an effect on the enviornment and the emotions around them. A painting of a firey volcano for instance could make a room particularly warmer than it otherwise would have been, and could possibly insight anger in those near it. The opposite might happen if the painting were of an ice cavern. This skill could be particularly useful in certain cercumstances. If one were to wish to cause depression or anguish, they might hang up dark colored works of perhaps a chasm, or a graveyard.

Competent:
A competent Inkcrafter is miles ahead of his novice counterpart, now able to imbue life into their illustrations. Small or weak renders can last a day without returning to their page. Larger, more powerful renders can only last a few hours. Also the Djed within the ink is now potent enough to cause rashes and slight burns with continuous direct contact with the ink. This could improve both living creations, aswell as non-living creations. Unfortunately a competent Inkcrafter still cannot imbue their renders with a skill through the blood. Only one render can be used at a time.

A very big change for Paintcraft at this level is the artists new found ability to submerge themself within the painting. This could be useful in many different ways. One being that a connecting painting of the same landscape could be placed in another location, allowing the painter to travel through his worlds of fantasy. This bares some resemblence to the art of voiders, with only a few big differences. One, a painting for every desired location is required, making such travel anything but a limitless task. All of which need to be a painting of the same general fictional location. Even if a paintcrafter painted Sahova, and went inside, it would not take them to Sahova, only to their paint depiction of Sahova. The other difference is that within the painted world, the paintcrafter has entire control of his landscape and those in it. Best of luck to any being stuck in a painting with a paintcrafer, though the crafter can not put others into his artworks as of yet. Their are many uses for this skill, and can come quite in handy.

Expert:
An expert Inkcrafter is truly something to behold. His creations generally last 2 - 3 days before returning to their parchment, no matter their size. Small ones can be created to fit into small spaces, or big ones can be created to rampage a target. The inkcrafters range is 6 inches to 7 feet in size, and can aquire a non-magic skill from the blood donor's skill set. For instance, the render could gain larceny, or poison, in addition to their innate fighting ability. if drawn to be a fighter. The Djed in the ink is now powerful enough to leave serious burns, and strange blackened areas on the skin when the target is attacked. Weapons and armors are no more durable than ink ever could be, and now are more fragile than ever, but a few strikes from an ink sword could be enough to leave a target in a very bad state.

The big change for the expert Paintcrafter is that with acquired blood, they can now place any person within their painting. Acquiring such blood is no easy task, and can often involve the aid of a hired hand, however once captured within the painting it is very obvious how effection a prison a piece of art can be. This does not last indefinitely. Usually the Djed will only last a couple of weeks to a month, unless constantly repainted.

Master:

There are no longer any fine lines between inkcrafting and paintcrafting for tha Master Kurnstcrafter. Rather the two variations of this magic combine in one beautiful art form. Inklings can be drawn within paintings, ready to attack those trapped within. Doors can quite litterally be painted onto walls, allowing for easy entry for the artist only. Paintings of certain mood or effect are far more powerful than those of the novice. A Master's volcano painting would be too hot for even him to move... It would cause everything around it to melt, until it finally melted itself. The Djed of a Master is so potent that any and all attacks from an inkling or ink weapon would cause the black marks on the arms to slowly spread, turning the victim into pure ink weeks later. This can be avoided with treatments of herbalism, medicine, or healing. May none know the full wrath of the Mast Kurnstcrafter. Inklings and ink weapons can still be captured in paper, or be destroyed by the destruction of the original parchment. Paintings still free their captors if destroyed.
