Tamzyn Appearance Race: Inarta Caste: Chiet Gender: Female Age: 19 Birthday: Season of Winter, Day 12, 494 Birthplace: Wind Reach Appearance: Tamzyn has long cherry red hair, dark green eyes, lots of freckles, thin lips, dark eyebrows, and a long narrow face. She is short and very thin. Character Concept Tamzyn is a shy girl. She grew up the quiet one in her family, often escaping to find a place to think, draw, or play with her pets. She is very introspective which can sometimes lead to melancholy or brooding. She is also a daydreamer and despite herself a hopeless romantic. She was very attached to her father as a child but he died a few years ago. Her prized possession is her falcon that he gifted her before he died. Character History Born into a large family, Tamzyn latched onto anonymity early. It was easier to get lost amongst her brothers and sisters than to assert herself. She found all of her needs adequately addressed that way and her more outgoing siblings would speak up for her if she wanted something. Despite her reserved demeanor, Tamzyn was always bright and self aware. All of this she had inherited from her father, who was so similar that they always had a quiet sort of bond that he didn’t share with her other siblings. They just understood each other without all the hubbub the rest of the world seemed to need. All of this symbiosis ended when her parents died. Well, it is presumed they died. A Yasi at the time, her mother (a glassworker) and her father (a trader) were traveling when they disappeared. Before they left, her father had gifted her a falcon egg. Tamzyn will always remember glowing with the pride of her knowing her father found her old enough, responsible enough, to have such a responsibility. He had taught her the basics of falconry but never got the chance to finish the work. Perhaps because of the poor timing of her parents’ death, or just because of her subdued personality, Tamzyn had never stood out for any apprenticeship. She was lucky to be recognized for her hidden intelligence and her ability to teach herself new skills and joined the Chiet caste. She had always loved to watch her mother in her glasswork, such a delicate craft, but did not have much experience in it herself. Drawing was her escape and her connection to humanity and she spent many hours studying her peers. She has considered becoming a falconer, applying her drawing skills to cartography, or training to be a scribe. So far, however, she has yet to find her path.
