This is Falyndar at its finest. Danger lurks everywhere - in the ground, in the trees, in the bush. Only the strongest survive...

9th of Summer, 514AV.

The summer rains were frequent and there was word around; the Kandukta Basin had flooded with more than just water. Of course, it was known that there were Dhani that frequented the place. Some were caught, but others escaped. It was as perilous for the snakes as it was for the Myrians due to the unpredictable swells, but Reiki seemed even more confident than usual as she strode several paces ahead of the rest of the fang, constantly shouting to keep them moving. Not that they would ever want to stop - most of them were lingering because they were too busy chattering about what they would be doing when they finally caught one. Or three. Daku was the chattiest of them all, however. "I'll be the first one there, you'll see. And then, right across the neck!" He lifted the tip of his gladius and made a mock-slash across the tattoo marked across the bottom of his throat; though he nearly choked when his sister grabbed his wrist roughly and nearly shoved the damn thing straight through. He knew that she would never think of harming her own brother, but sometimes she got pretty damn close to it. "You forget that you only carry one weapon. I carry two." In truth, Kwantu held his chances above both of them, although he chose to keep silent and pick up his pace rather than rattle along with the rest of them about how much he wanted to kill a snake. Anyone could talk about it, after all - but doing it was something entirely different.

As he glanced about the entire fang, he wondered to himself which one would be the real killer, if push came to shove. Some he was still getting to know quite a bit, but he had to put his money on Tumah. Her long-bow in one hand and a small vial pressed alongside the rest of her arrows in the other, it was easy to see why. Bogs would be difficult to traverse, not to mention dangerous.. and she pretty much eased her way around all of it with little difficulty. He wished he could be the one that would eventually capture the prey, and he knew it was possible; with the range of his spear, of course there was a possibility in it. However, that didn't make an assurance. He knew his weapons strengths, and he knew its pitfalls too - with such a tiny blade on the end, he had to make each stab count, otherwise it would be pretty damn useless.

"Heh. Kwantu! I hope you've got a good shot with that thing, huh? You'd b better to swing across the whole basin on the back of that thing rather than try to use it for a weapon!" He knew that the man was just jabbing fun, to try and press a little more competition in for one of their first real patrols, but he threw a harsh glare before sliding his hands down towards the tip of the spear, hovering just below the pointed head. Daku saw the swing coming though, and in an instant, he'd ducked underneath the huge pole. The warning was made though, and Daku's grin faltered just a fraction as he straightened himself. Just a fraction. Then he was off onto the next victim. "Haha, and you, Kol! Let's see how good you are underwater, huh?" His sister was just about ready to smack him around the head. And for once, Kwantu wished she would. Perhaps she saw that look in his eye, because the person she smacked was him. Though he growled, he did little more.
