![]() Ari Yantavi Endal Basic Information Race: Inatra Birthday & Age: 488 AV / 22 Years Old Gender: Male Physical Description Standing at six feet and weighing one hundred and ninety eight pounds Ari is one of the tallest of his people, and one of the strongest as he has not an ounce of fat on him from near constant movement. His skin was as fair as any of his kind, the pale complexion that has been tanned from spending such time outside, littered with various scars, although nothing yet are all that ugly. His facial features are strong, his mouth curved upward slightly at one corner, high sharp cheek bones, and a strong jaw line. His eyes are a molten gold similar to that of an eagle, making his people consider his naturally intense gaze all the more severe. His black hair with dark red streaks and highlights gains much attention, but is generally kept out of his way by the wind despite reaching down to his shoulder blades and pectorals, two thick lengths of hair are bound with white silk to rest over his chest. The skin of his chest is littered with faint white scars, near misses of arrows or swords, flying through branches by necessity and having branches whip at him. Nothing disfiguring as of yet, but it's clear that he has avoided these more through skill and luck then the lack of danger that is so regular to his people. Typically he will wear the traditional clothes, preferring earth tones, rarely wasting money on the normal trimmings and adornments that many seem obsessed with, another reason his people find him a bit odd. Like most of his people while at home he leaves his strong chest bare. His hands are callused and rough from over a decade of learning the falcon, archery, swordsmanship, and even hand to hand combat. He's yet to hear complaints from any women about this. Character Concept Personality- Much like his physical appearance being both very typical for his people, and somewhat odd. Even now he is seemingly brash and wild, taking challenges and succeeding at most of what he does. This wild nature isn't all it seems however. He judges each case a little more carefully then most, instead of just blindingly rushing to the challenge, and it has protected him from the disturbingly high mortality rate of his people. This patience makes him different not only in danger, but also with the people he deals with. It's odd for most of his people, but it is a feature that rarely makes it so men have a chance of surviving until they can be named an Elder. But he has never given this thought. He does not use it as a weapon or a tool, it's merely who he is. It allows him to understand others a little more, instead of blindly throwing their personality at others. This is not all he is, of course, but it's the traits he most commonly shows, if in small doses. Ethics- Survival of the fittest, protect those you care for, do not Likes: Training, flying, hunting, sitting in front of a fire at night. Dislikes: Solitude, being lied to, being ordered, being idle. Character History Ari was was nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary through his early childhood. He was raised by his commoner parents, and raised two birds through this age until their eventual death of old age, and learned the use of the bow from some of his own. He showed great promise with both, even at a young age, and this would prove to be a sign that his odd hair color would not curse him in his adulthood. Even before the age of fifteen he showed ever growing skill with falconry and archery, even hunting when the opportunity arose. This skill set put him on the path to become an Endal even before it was time to join their caste. It was actually for this reason that he ultimately came to be an Endal himself. Seeing his potential an Endal took him on his Wind Eagle as his second, testing his skills with the bow for hunting. It had been a long day, and while he had potential it was no easy task hitting moving prey from high above without significant practice. During this event there was some sort of accident, Ari to this day does not remember it, but he was brought back bonded to Yantavi. Through this time he portrayed the normal recklessness of his people, mountain climbing, repelling, diving, and more. But he avoided the near suicidal things that claimed many of his peers. The habit of putting himself in danger but never more then he thought he could handle had. His peers sometimes challenged him to push himself to the brink of death in their challenges, claiming it would push him up the rank faster. Again he took the challenges that he wouldn't survive, and found that they were wrong as he kept climbing while they died or were forced to heal broken bones and torn muscles. It also earned him some respect, and some trust. A sparse few occasionally looked to him for leadership when he would side step some things, and had survived because of it. While this hasn't become a regular occurrence yet it has slowly manifested itself, gradually pulling more to him, at very slow increments. Training: ![]() Combat
