Rosen Galatos Appearance Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 22 Birthday: 66, Summer, 492. Birthplace: Ravok Appearance: Character Concept While he may appear that way to people outside the family, Rosen Galatos is not the black sheep of the family. He was just sheltered a little bit too much as a result of an incident involving himself and some people wronged by the infamous Galatos business practices. This made his father, Robert Galatos especially careful to make sure his son would never again be involved in those same business practices to remain clean and free from any possible retribution. As a result Rosen Galatos led an uneventful life by family standards. Aside from learning some ways to defend himself should another kidnapping or worse occur, Rosen's duties to the family involved practices acceptable to the business community. Most times Rosen would be seen tending to the legitimate business fronts. In others Rosen would be seen escorting one of the more influential members of the family in trying to make agreements with other partners so that someday he may do it on his own. Someday is still a ways away as Rosen himself has not been given the opportunity to keep the traumatic insident in the past as his father Robert Galatos has proven over the years to be a overprotective of his son. While the fault lies with no one else but the men which Robert made sure were punished, Robert refuses to allow himself or by extension his family to show weakness in this way anymore if he can help it. Character History It was just another chance for Robert Galatos to replenish the wares for the store he was in charge of. The only difference at that time was Robert wanted to expose his son Rosen to what he does in hopes that Rosen would some day pick it up. There was no problem for Robert while doing this because they were still close to their base of operations and he was going to bring a little more muscle just to make sure that nothing would happen to his son. If nothing else the muscle would be help Robert pressure whichever merchant he was negotiating with to give him the sort of deal he wants. It did not take long for Robert to find a merchant which was in for a long wait at the Southern Trading Post with some items that caught his eyes. It was the same for Rosen although to the boy it was because some of the animal pelts seemed impressive to him and the paintings were a little more colourful compared the ones he were used to. Rosen's time admiring the works was cut off by a shout. Not anyone he knew but when he looked for the source he identified it as belonging to the merchant that owned the current items. He got closer to try and find out what was going on but the fifteen year old really couldn't understand the discussion which was going on although when he got older he could tell the insinuations whenever he remembered the event. This was the only event which had Rosen feeling uneasy but the rest of Robert's negotiations actually inspired his soon. So inspired that Rosen requested his father to let him find something by himself. Robert so happy with his son's initiative had one of the muscle he brought with him to look after Rosen and make sure he is back inside Ravok before the last ferry. It was not too long after Rosen split up with his father when it happened. Happened too fast that he couldn't remember anything but running after his guard was taken down. It was becoming dark and it was after all Rosen's first time at the Trading Post and the boy unfortunately missed the last ferry. As if it was not bad enough Rosen recognized the merchant which shouted lingering with others that jumped him and his guard lingering a ways away from the tower. With an inkling of what would happen should the group get their hands on him, Rosen went away to hide hoping that he would be able to return to the city the next day. The experience was horrible for the boy as he didn't know anyone that could help him in the trading post area, unsure if he would be safe from the group searching for him while he rested or if he could get back into the city at all. However as it so happened, the first ferry from Ravok the next day had Robert coming back in worry looking for his son. Rosen still hiding did not see this however but when he got to the tower and the present guard found out his name he was reunited with his father right away and with good fortune, it happened right before his father was concluding the ransom. Sure that his son was free from the would be kidnappers which were dismayed their plans have failed, Robert made sure the merchant would never be able to work this way ever again. As he put it: "If you think you were going to use my son to make your difference in Sunberth, you haven't seen our slave markets in Ravok. You will by the end of the day though scum."
