Description:
Not much was left of his physical body when he died, and thus even less seemed translated into death and his ethereal form. As such Jashkataal is a skeletal figure with nary a scrap of flesh.
Long thick bones converge and form the cage of his chest, while sinuous ones compose his lanky limbs and the small pebble like bones of his extremities float in pale simulacra of feet and hands. Two large and dark unblinking holes now stare where before brown and silver once lived. And a un-ending grin meets each stranger.
In his mortal seeming he was a human with smooth tan skin and a ruddy complexion that made his features blush; his brown hair and lighter brown eyes a staple of his people.
Exalted, he was a creature of surreal beauty; with eyes so silver they shone white and gossamer like skin, bright and pearlescent.

Character Concept:
Personality wise, Jashkataal is inpatient though slow to action, almost to a fault.
Though through the torture and the unnamed experiences at the hands of the Sahovan Nuits, he is plagued by uneasy memories. Memories of cold research and even cooler treatment. When confronted by these memories in the present, Jashkataal is erratic and highly confrontational.
Not one for words, like most of his kind, he speaks less even than other dead. And when he does it is in a strange voice, much like a whisper, airy but loud.
History:
Jashkataal fell early on in the aftermath of the Valterrian, sooner than most life seemed to return, a straggler of one of the first generation of Ethaefals. It was the waters of an island that gave birth to the baby immortal.
It was there that for at least a time he lived among a fledgling race of women, whom were as at home in the sea as they were on land.
But it was not to be, and in the end, through hook and crook he was spirited off to the undead island of Sahova. There Jashkataal endured for 10 long years the probing curiosity of the dead wizards and it was there that he had visited on him such acts of cruelness -always in the name of knowledge- that would twist him into the being he is now.
In the end he died, but out of fear of not returning to Leth or maybe from the scars of his torture could not, would not move on. And so it was soon after his death that wizardess Wanda trapped him in a ghost-glyph, and there he stayed. Until the Djed Storm of 512 AV that, while it left the Citadel unscathed, created a mess on the outside and destabilized the glyph that contained Jashkataal, freeing him.
It would take two more years of wandering on the open sea for him to drift to Lhavit.
