x x The Meadow . Orchard To the south east of the city, starting close to the Lakeshore Outpost, and stretching for 100 acres east away from the Outpost, are the fields of trees that make up the Ravokian Meadow Orchard. Thousands of trees were planted, and have grown to be harvested each year, for import into the city of Ravok. Because of the temperate extremes that Rhysol secures for the area surrounding lake Ravok, the orchard is perfectly located, as there is little danger of frost during the season of Winter, where the blossoms might be damaged. Depending on the tree, fruits and vegetables can be picked in orchards though, because of the climate, the majority of produce from the orchard are apples, which can be both red and green. The trees are arranged in diagonal, diamond-forming lines, which ensures that they are spread out as much as possible to ensure each receives the right amount of sunlight and water. I the ground, amongst the trees, clipped grass and small shrubbery is kept, which makes the maintenance and gathering of fruit more manageable for the workers. Alongside apple trees, in smaller fields along the edges, can be found pear and plum trees. These are not produced in nearly the same quantities as apples, but they are enjoyed by a number of Ravokian natives. Because of the nature of transporting perishable fruits, produce from the Meadow Orchard is not exported to other cities in Sylira. Apples can be sourced all year round by workers in the orchards, as various trees blossom at differing points throughout the year. As such, two different types of apples can be harvested each season, with apples known for their crunchiness, sharpness, softness and sweetness being brought into the city in Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall respectively.   Aneurin Name: Aneurin Bleake Race: Human DoB and Age: Winter 14th, 482AV; 31 years old Title: Chief Overseer of the Meadow Orchard Skills: Leadership - 32 Agriculture - 71 Organisation - 43 Negotiation - 14 Flute (Musical Instrument) - 21 Aneurin, better known as “Nye” to his close friends, was not born in Ravok. No one is particularly sure where he came from, though many guess that it could be Sunberth, or perhaps Nyka. It is a well-established fact, however, that the man (who was born on solid land) is not a lover of the lake-based city. As such, when he arrived in Ravok, it took him a number of days to travel across the lake to the city proper, and he could not have been there for than half a season before he returned to the Lakeshore. His first job whilst living ‘in’ Ravok was as a helper at the Cattail Farms, where he learnt the basics of agriculture and food production from the more senior employees there. Yet, within the year, unsatisfied, he moved to work on the Lilypad farms, where he remained for a further four years. Only then did he start working in the orchards, where he found his passion, and he has remained for the past seven years. A tall, strapping man with side shoulders, a gruff expression and long, brown hair that covers his eyes, Aneurin can appear intimidating to most, but it is his not so secret love of the flute which makes him approachable and friendly to those he meets.
