Timestamp: Fall 32, 507 AV Primary Location Blacksugar Plantation Manor Harkon found it strange to wake up in a new place that was actually his home. After gaining his Freeborn status yesterday, his father went with him and purchased a home in a section called The Terraces. As he got out of bed, he heard the sixth bell ring out in the distance. He quickly dressed, ate, grabbed his city map, as well as his regional map that listed the plantations. He also picked up two sealed letters. The first was from the woman at the Magistrate's office with an employment recommendation, addressed to whom it may concern. The second, was addressed to a member of the Morealis family, the man who was a friend of his father's. Harkon didn't know the exact details within the letters, and dared not break the seals to find out. He'd bought some new, local clothing and assumed he was presentable. He stepped out the door, following his map, paying the tolls where necessary until he'd reached a depot where he could grab a river taxi.. He could take time to learn the city more properly later, but he was a man on a mission. He floated along the river, after paying the driver of course, until he came to a landing with a sign indicated Blacksugar, the manor where the Morealis family lived and operated. He departed, and made his way around the front taking three or four chimes total. In his travels, he'd seen wealthy people and how they lived, but this was certainly on a whole other level. The manor was absolutely massive, and there was no ugly thing seen on it, or any of the grounds he'd seen so far. He didn't know the proper protocols, so he stood at attention, keeping his posture straight and his attention forward on the manor. He didn't wish to appear awestruck or easily distracted. He would wait until someone approached him and queried. He kept it on his mind that he was a man on a mission, and that if he worked hard at this, he could achieve it. So he stood in patience, waiting, watching, as stoic as one of the many nearby statues. |
