A day in the Stables (Open)

Postby Kaori Frostfawn on October 27th, 2010, 12:33 am

Location: The White Elk Stables
Time/ Date: Dusk/ Twentieth Day of Fall

The day had been very calm and only a bit colder than it was during the first few weeks of fall. It was snowing gently and the wind barely blew the hair from Kaori's shoulders. All day she had been wanting to visit the stables and see if there were any new animals staying there. All her life she had been fascinated with animals and nature and wished she could learn more about how everything was connected in Mizahar. She dreams of one day becoming an expert in animal husbandry so she can care for and shelter as many animals as needed.

Kaori trudged through the snow up to the wooden front gate of the stables where she pulled open the entrance door and stepped in. The sight of many resting animals made her smile and she walked over to the nearest stall where a beautiful, snow colored, female Frostmarch munching on an apple someone had just handed her. Kaori stroked the horse's side, it twitched one ear and she moved on through the stables, almost to be knocked over by a small dog running around.

She bent down and petted him when he barked up at her, "Why hello there little one. What is your name?" Kaori smiled and continued to pet the small dog. The wind had started to pick up a bit outside and she rushed to help a few other Vantha extinguish candle flames before they could light up the stable.
