Ayako Shizuma Basic Information: Race: Human Birthday / Age: 17th day of Winter 496 A.V. / 21 Birthplace: Sunberth Gender: Female Occupation: Slave Physical Description: Ayako is approximately 5’2” tall, making her on the shorter side of people, she also weighs in at 140 lbs, making her slight as well. She has long brown hair which curls a little at the end, with a fringe which comes down to her eyes when it isn’t tied back, otherwise she will have it cover one of her eyes in a habitual manner. Ayako’s skin is pale, her eyes are hazelnut brown, and she is rarely without a slight smile on her face, as though amused with something which nobody else is interested in. Her sense of fashion is usually a contrast to her skin, wearing darker clothing unless she wants to hide her appearance. Character Concept: Ayako is a shy person who would rather run from a confrontation, or talk to somebody, but if she is forced she will defend herself using whatever she has at her disposal at the time. The way she dresses reflects her desire to mostly be alone, but when she lets her hair down, she is almost like a different person, but that is a rarity. She is always looking for someone to talk to, be it a mercenary or the humblest of buskers, if she takes a liking to them, she will talk freely; otherwise she will be reserved, almost guarded when approaching someone new. Character History: Ayako was born from the coupling of a drunken man and woman in the city of Sunberth, her childhood and early teenage memories include a lot of violence... Teen Years Ayako awoke with a start, her brow sweating profusely from the nightmare she had just experienced, she was shivering slightly with fear, and try as she might she couldn’t stop it, so she lay in the abandoned room of her mother’s house which her supposed father would stay in, crying to herself, her mother had left earlier that night, and had returned a sometime later, looking paler than usual. It wasn’t until she turned around that 16 year old, saw the dagger in her back, blood pouring from the wound, her mother had collapsed shortly after entering the house, the last of her strength draining from her body, and with her final breaths, she told Ayako to run because “the bad men are coming…” her voice was barely a whisper, and as she finished her sentence she passed from this world to Dira’s embrace. Recent Events: After running from her house, nightmares plaguing her every time she closed her eyes, Ayako managed to get as far away from Sunberth as she could, making it to the city of Kenash one day, almost collapsing from exhaustion after reaching the outskirts of the town, in her bedraggled stare she looked no better than a runaway slave. When she awoke next, Ayako looked for somewhere to stay, but was turned down because of her appearance and lack of Freeborn branding, she tried to get the necessary permission to obtain the branding but was refused because of her appearance, and by the time she had managed to get the permission, the thirty day deadline had passed. Present: Ayako has now awoken within the Kenash Slave Auction house, she knows not how she got here, and she knows not what her fate is to be, all she knows is whatever lies ahead will almost certainly be similar to her past, abuse, hatred and general disdain in abundance.
