Taeira Appearance Race: Human Gender: Female Age: 15 Birthday: 59th day of Spring, 500 AV Birthplace: unknown; presumed to be in or near the Mithryn Outpost Appearance: Taeira has a slight, wiry build that conspires to give her an almost child like appearance. Standing at 4'3", her diminutive height adds to that impression, as do her large, expressive eyes. She has thick, wavy, black hair that falls almost to her knees when loose. Taeira prefers to wear it down, and does so most of the time. But on occasions when her hair is likely to get in the way, she will pull it up into a pony tail or a braid. Her eyes are a brilliant shade of green that seems to darken with her mood when she is sad or upset. No matter how hard she tries, her expressive eyes will always betray what she is feeling at any given time. Character Concept Taeira is a quiet, gentle girl. She can be somewhat shy around strangers, but those who get to know her well will find a very loyal friend. She is thoughtful, and tends to watch the world around her closely. Taeira is the type who loves the quiet, peaceful times. Spending time with close friends or family is her greatest joy. Not one for large crowds, and wild adventures, Taeria has a deep love for animals, and growing things. Character History No one knows where Taeira was born, or who her birth parents were. Her adopted father found her in his fields one night as an infant. It was obvious that she not been left alone for long, but there was no one around when he found her, so he brought her into his home. When there was no news of someone looking for an infant within a few days, he and his wife decided to raise her as their own. They also decided not to tell her of the mysteries surrounding her birth. Taeira was loved deeply by her new parents, and older siblings. And she loved them deeply in return. She had a happy childhood growing up with them, and was supported and encouraged in all that she wanted to do. She learned to love green growing things from her father, who was a farmer. Her mother was a healer, and from her, Taeira learned to take a quiet pride and joy in helping others when they were hurt. Combining the two loves, gave Taeira a fascination for herbs. When she was old enough, her parents found her a mentor who could teach her more about herbs than either of them could. Under the guidance of her mentor, Taeira's love for herbs deepened, and she discovered what she wanted to do with her life. Shadow acts much like her namesake, following Taeira around every chance she gets. She sleeps with Taeira at night, and insists on daily lap time. She is a very cuddly, affectionate, loyal companion towards Taeira, but can be wary of other humans until she comes to know and trust them. - Darkyn; a young male black cat. Darkyn is fiercely independent. He tends to stay in or close to the cottage, but he comes and goes when he wants to. He isn't shy about demanding attention when he wants it, but when he isn't demanding lap time, or a belly rub, he tends to be rather aloof. He is an excellent mouser. - Sira; a young female calico cat. Sira is something of a mix of Shadow and Darkyn personality wise.
