The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

“I was never a good liar,” Fehn thought.

Fehn looked down and gave an embarrassed smile. “You got me. I was lying.” He wasn't sure how she picked up on the fact that his hand was crippled, though. Maybe she was more observant than he initially thought. “You noticed that my hand doesn't function properly. Can I make an assumption of my own? You look like you might have some Inartan blood in you. Do you know what happens to an Inartan when he becomes disabled or seems useless to their society?” He was hoping she understood and he didn't need to elaborate further. He was already despising the fact that he was sharing his recent tragedy with a stranger. But what else could he do? She had already caught him in a lie, so the only other option Fehn could think of was to walk away and cause a scene.

“Still... I don't know how you people live here,” Fehn said while rubbing his head. “It's so bright all the time. I'm getting a headache just from walking around the city. Any tips for me? Seeing as how keen you are...” Fehn shook his motionless hand to let Lisana know he was referring to how she picked up on his disability.

Lisana grinned, surprised Fehn didn't attempt to hide the fact that he was lying. "Its okay, you can say if you're not comfortable talking about it." But he continued with a few question for Liz.

"No, I'm not Inartan," she replied, although it would explain the red hair. "But no, I don't know. Would you tell me?" She'd assumed it was something bad. The hand must've had direct correlation to the reason he left Wind Reach.

"I haven't lived anywhere else. You'll get used to it eventually. I think I remember spending the first few weeks of my life squinting." She grinned, hoping Fehn would get the joke. "Maybe just try to shield your eyes. Or just go out between dusk and dawn rest."

Fehn felt an odd sense of defeat. He wasn't himself today. Normally, he'd use his wit to manipulate the conversation to the direction he pleased. This time, however, he was forced into speaking of the things he intended to avoid. He watched Lisana grin at his failure, and for a moment he almost respected the woman. Almost.

When Lisana said she wasn't at all Inartan, Fehn raised his eyebrows in surprise. “I think the hair fooled me,” Fehn said. “I knew you weren't a pure-blooded Inartan because Inartan girls do not grow so tall.” Fehn chuckled a little as he looked up at her. “So you truly don't know what happens in Wind Reach...” His eyes went distant for a short while as he recalled some of the events he witnessed in his home land. He recalled the violence. The unfair treatment. The sexual assault. He recalled people living like crows, scavenging what little they could before it was taken by someone else. Dek was no way of life for Fehn. “Let's just say nothing good happens to Inartans with disabilities.”

The man made one last attempt to avoid the topic. “You might be right, I probably should come out during the bells of dark.” He thought of himself as an owl, the nocturnal predator, and it gave him the slightest bit of confidence. “Where might be a good place to spend some time today? Somewhere out of the sun and the glare of the skyglass.” For all the wandering around Fehn did the last few days, he was still unsure of where all the local hangouts were. He hoped Lisana could help him with this.

"Yeah, I'm not Inartan. The hair is just a coincidence." Lisana sat down next to Fehn, continuing to listen as he spoke. "But no, I don't." From the way he was talking, it seemed pretty bad. He paused for a moment, increasing the girl's concern even more. When he finally spoke, she replied with, "That's unfortunate. It's not your fault you were injured." Such a system sounds a bit corrupt, she thought.

"Well, there's always indoors," she remarked. "What kinds of things interest you?" Liz remarked, wondering what, exactly, he had in mind.
