Personality
Raynial is an inquisitive, studious man, dedicating himself to greatness in anything he strives for. He seeks to broaden his intellect, his strength, and his willpower to what aims he wishes to use them; of which, even he himself is not sure of. Yet he strives for knowledge, and that suits him just fine for now.
History
Raynial was orphaned at a young age when the caravan his family was on was attacked and killed. Traumatized and alone as just a boy, he was found by a kind Isurian woman who took care of him and nursed him back to health.
As he grew up in the care of the woman, she instructed him in Meditation; how to keep himself calm in some situations where others may or may not react hotheadedly. She taught him the beginnings of art and how to appreciate the natural beauty in all things; but Raynial was not satisfied with what he had learned.
He wished to go out and experience new things, so his surrogate mother instructed him in the art of Reimancy and staff combat. Although he took to the knowledge of the arcane very well, his inquisitive nature made it harder for him too focus on the more physical aspects of combat; but nevertheless he still tried as best he could to learn as much as he needed to to defend himself.
If he lost control of his magic to the curse of overgiving, his master taught him much of how to deal with it, saying his mind would betray him at times of his greatest need, and when it became too much, it lies up to his body to defend himself; from his own mind and the attacks of others. His teacher grew old and he matured. The day came when they both knew he was ready too move on to bigger things, so with his staff in hand, and his bag at his side, he set off to Zeltiva and enrolled in the university to master his skills and honor his teacher.
