Appearance: Toryn was no freak amongst his kind, standing at six foot and eight inches he would not tower a crowd in Riverfall though amongst the rest of the world he could easily been seen as a veritable giant. His build was muscular, not necessarily built for physical appeal but formed from the rigorous training all of his kind had been subjected to from a young age. Out of practicality his hair had been shaved to the born; he cared little for fashion and his scalp had paid the price for that while his jaw received the same brutal treatment. Finally his skin was a pleasant azure and unblemished by body hair.
Character Concept
Like all Akalaks, he is burdened with being the home of not one but two souls that are both forced to be indulged for balance to be maintained.
Toryn, his light personality, is one committed to a disciplined regime and dedicated to the future on his city. Often called boring by his dark personality Toryn has little the way of charisma or even tact, coming across as man bound to his job who has never even heard of a hobby. He relishes physical exertion and whether he is training or working he is certainly a content man.
Marius, his dark personality, on the other hand is a loud soul. Cynical and crass; while they both lack tact it is in very different ways. Some people may be offended by Toryn's stoic replies but many more will be offended by Marius's crude unwanted comments. He is also a lot more indulgent and curious then Toryn, he feels that inner peace in achieve by a whole lot of outer pleasure rather than denial.
Character History
Toryn Vetris was born in the year AV 477 on the 17th of Autumn to a Kelvic called Seryn and an Akalak called Tolavik. Seryn died within a couple of year after his birth of old age, his lineage had long preferred Kelvics over Konti and humans as they felt the other races incapable of raising an Akalak child properly and far too interfering if the even survived they birthing process. His childhood was normal, he was taught discipline and combat from a young age and he passed his trials unremarkably. As soon as he became an adult he volunteered for the the Kuvay'Nas with the hope of being selected for the infantry branch.
