Trios hid his enjoyment towards the amount of pleasure that the small creature was having at earning the respect of the Drykas. The small beings of the world had to look out for one another or otherwise it would be just them verses the world. Trios however loved the idea of him at some constant battle with the world but that didn’t mean he couldn't throw a bone now and again to others in the same type of situation.

“Ahahahah You’re a bit caring and not such a violent thing when no ones disrespecting your god eh? But you can’t live your life watching on the sidelines ya know! Take the helm, jump into the mysteries of the abyss without regret or fear and they’ll be singing your names forever little one” Said Trios indeed going cross-eyed as he gazed in his natural cold domineer at the small Pycon’s clay face.

The Isur had a hard time explaining why he felt like that small creature was like a child in nature. Maybe because his childhood lasted for nearly thirty years and therefore had an idea what made a child a child at heart and in nature. It was something older beings within large amounts of time picked up quite easily when in a child’s presence; it was like some inner recognition or nod to what they had once been.

“And who cares what others think, I stick out like a sore thumb anyway might as well embrace it…Oi this isn’t some free show! Your going to pay if your gonna watch!” Shrugged Trios giving all of the Drykas cold looks who were all giving him strange looks as he talked to the small Pycon that was dangling off of his hat.

“But one thing does trouble me miss Pycon, how did you know of me and my freelance merchant past? I didn’t really advertise it out loud I thought. I can be considered as much of a hermit as some black-hearted fiend ya?” Inquired Trios to the small female his brow raised in the question.

As the question was asked the Isurian would walk towards the next merchant tent, he still hadn’t found the items which he was most excited about. It was hard to go on an adventure without these things, plus it gave him true captain potential with them.

“Ahahahah You’re a bit caring and not such a violent thing when no ones disrespecting your god eh? But you can’t live your life watching on the sidelines ya know! Take the helm, jump into the mysteries of the abyss without regret or fear and they’ll be singing your names forever little one,” the pirate said as he looked up at Ariel. Immediately her eyes turned to daggers again. "WHO ARE YOU CALLING LITTLE?" she hollered, pausing, her breathing becoming shallow, closer together, heavier sounding. The red pigments in her clay face brightening. "I. AM. NOT. LITTLE!" she screamed down at the annoying pirate whose hat she was hopelessly stranded on. She felt like a helpless baby again, for the first time in a long time.

“And who cares what others think, I stick out like a sore thumb anyway might as well embrace it…Oi this isn’t some free show! Your going to pay if your gonna watch!” the pirate continued.

"DON'T YOU IGNORE ME!" Ariel bellowed as the man kept rambling, and the Drykas started to give started looks in their general direction. She saw them out of the corner of her eye. Her teeth became little pointy daggers. Her fingernails became claws, her toenails talons. Ariel was one little cranky, fiery ball of clay.

“But one thing does trouble me miss Pycon, how did you know of me and my freelance merchant past? I didn’t really advertise it out loud I thought. I can be considered as much of a hermit as some black-hearted fiend ya?” The pirate asked. Ariel's hands became fists, she was trying to contain her anger. Not tear the pirate to shreds. "Your aura," she screamed, before she clenched her teeth, her eyes growing in size. Still little daggers.

Ariel swatted at the pirate's face, a number of times. So angry, she lost her balance on the hat, and fell face first down into the pirate's clothes, making thin lines down them with her newly-found claws. When she raced past a belt loop in the pirate's jacket, she reached out for it, clinging to it tightly. Swinging back and forth as the pirate continued to walk. "We're still not friends!" she hollered up at him, as she swung back and forth, a good few feet off the ground. Now what? She thought to herself.

“Bloody interesting, never would imagine such a thing to be possible to get a glimpse into one’s being hahaha” Laughed Trios as if he didn’t care in the slightest about the clay being’s temper and fury at his previous comments. The only thing that seemed to pierce the Isur’s brain was the fact that the Pycon could see into his true being but he thought it best to not ask her what she saw, it was a matter of pride to the Isur to not be told who he was, he’d figure it out on his own when he pit himself against the unknowns of the world.

“Now then on to the issue you seem to be having, you seem to be under the impression that what you are determines who you are. Now I can say that what you are is nothing but a tiny spec of a being out of clay, but who you are can be something else bigger more grand than every being here” Trios was now showing his cold like nature in annoyance at the small creature’s fury at being called small.

“You can live with that physical description, or throw a hissy fit each time someone talks about your size. Plus would your god Harameus or whoever has made you that way if he didn’t think you could deal with it?” Trios sighed as if he was talking to a young child, the god bit was a throw in the dark, and the Isur didn’t really understand worship the much but it seemed like a cliché thing to say at this point in time. It was also funny that Trios was being slightly hypocritical at not letting a physical description get to you. When in fact he did have a difficult time controlling his rage becuase what he knew inside was so much more than what others could see. But it was slightly different seeing the same thing happen to someone else.

Lowing his diamond hardened left hand to his belt buckle, he would offer the hand so that the Pycon could rest instead on a stable hand then on his belt loop on his shirt. Upon the transfer of the small creature Trios would return the being to it’s original position on his hat, so long as it remained calm and in control of it’s child like emotions. Trios did how ever realize that he was giving a child like creature more patience than he ever gave any adult. He couldn’t explain why this was so, but his anger seemed to be dulled when he delt with them.

“Who said you were my friend? But that doesn’t mean you can join me into the rest of these merchant tents, hell missy I..was..having a decent time making the merchants think you a queen among the populous” Sighed Trios as he waited for the creature’s response.

Ariel wasn't really listening to most of what the pirate was saying next. She was too busy dangling from his belt loop, looking down at the long fall from where she swayed back and forth, hanging on for dear life.

“Now then on to the issue you seem to be having, you seem to be under the impression that what you are determines who you are. Now I can say that what you are is nothing but a tiny spec of a being out of clay, but who you are can be something else bigger more grand than every being here," the pirate said, as Ariel looked down again, trying to gage how far she had to fall. Maybe, two and a half feet or so, she thought to herself, as she looked back up at the pirate who was rambling on and on about something. He didn't seem to notice that she had fallen.

He rambled on and on, and then seemed to notice, reaching his hand out to her, knowing that she wouldn't last much longer, gripping the belt loop, she grabbed onto it and pulled herself up, and onto the man's meaty palm. It felt cold to her. So very cold.

"Who said you were my friend? But that doesn’t mean you can join me into the rest of these merchant tents, hell missy I..was..having a decent time making the merchants think you a queen among the populous," the pirate said, as she caught her breath on his palm. "Were you?" she inquired, her hands on her hips.

"And I agree, I wouldn't consider the two of us... friends," she uttered the last word with such disdain and disgust for the man that she pinched her nose for an extra added effect, then quit it when the word had been let out into the open. "After all, you haven't even mentioned your name," Ariel finished, knowing perfectly well, that even armed with this bit of information, the pair still wouldn't be what the average person would consider to be friends.

“O I was missy, and if ya must know my name its Trios, Captain Trios” boasted Trios as he hoisted the small clay female onto his hat, slightly wishing that she could control her fits enough to not fall off again. The Isur didn’t give his full name on the thought process that each name he gave was an indication of the relation to the person. The first name was for anyone, second was for friends and the last was for people you trusted beyond a doubt. Not many had heard Trios speak his full name in a while because of this.

“Wait I think this is the place I’ve been looking for…” Trios said as he gazed into one of the merchant tents it was hard to tell who sold what when every trades-person almost had the same bloody tent save for odd designs on them. The thing he was looking for was indeed expensive and therefore hard to come across but money the Isur had and he would gladly spend it on the two things he had needed the most.

“Did ya get it?” Trios said not letting the tradesmen have a chance to greet him. “Your kind did that you’d be the one to get such a thing in such sort notice so it better be here” finished Trios talking to a merchant who seemed to have held more of a resolve to Trios's nature.

“I did both of them too, you’d better have the money” replied the merchant bluntly as Trios opened his jacket to retrieve a decently filled bag that seemed to jingle as it moved. After a slight apprehension at the loss of so much mizas Trios tossed the thing at the merchant who gladly caught it and began to count the large sum of money.

Once the money was counted the merchant seemed to be slightly surprised that it was exactly what was required for payment, like the Isur would short him on some account. Then with no hesitation the merchant slowly brought him two small oak finish containers with ornate designs carved into them both. One of the boxes was five by five inches , while the other was roughly ten by five. Both of them seemed to fit into the palms of the Isur’s hand very well and at soon as they were placed into the man’s palms Trios’s eyes seemed to be a flame at having these items.

Then with immense delight Trios seemed to open each of the containers revealing one to be a boxed compass and the other to be a collapsible spyglass. Each was highly ornate, made of polished metal and seemed to be worth the large sum of money.

After seeing everything was in order and grunting his thanks somewhat to the merchant, Trios left the tent inspecting his newly obtained equipment almost forgetting there was a small companion on his hat. The man was just relishing the completion of one of his goals at coming to this tent city of the Drykas.

“O I was missy, and if ya must know my name its Trios, Captain Trios," the pirate said. "Nice to meet you," Ariel replied half-heartedly, with a hint of sarcasm as the pirate came to another tent, and muttered something.

You know, for a man, he sure does shop a lot, Ariel thought to herself. Gives women a run for their money, she thought, before she sighed heavily. "I did both of them too, you’d better have the money," was the next thing Ariel heard. It was coming from a merchant. Ariel perked up a bit, what was the man referring to? she wondered.

Ariel sat on Trios' hat, and watched as he threw the merchant a bag of what she assumed to be mizas. They clanked and tingled a bit as he lifted them, and they flew through the air, towards the merchant who caught them at the last minute. Aww, she thought, I so would have loved to watch him pick those all up, as she watched him open the bag and start counting all of the money present.

Ariel didn't bother counting with him. All she knew was that Trios had just spent far more money than she could carry on her person. The man got up, and fetched two oak containers. Wonder what's in those, Ariel thought, as the merchant handed them to Trios, who opened them delightedly.

Ariel peered over the brim of his hat- a retractable spyglass and a compass? That's what he was so excited about. Ariel was disappointed, how boring, she thought to herself, then again, he must find these things fascinating, after all, he's a bloody pirate, a sea dog, she thought to herself as she rolled her eyes.

The pirate was practically fawning over the things, and if she could get someone to verify her view of things, she would be convinced that the pirate was tearing up, he was so happy.

Ariel cleared her throat, obviously not sharing the pirate's enthusiasm in his purchases. "That all?" she began, "or do we have more to do on this little shopping trip?" she asked, as she crossed her arms over her chest, tapping her fingers impatiently on her clay skin, not that such an action made much noise. She's be surprised if Trios even noticed.

“Ha! There’s lots more that I need, but I think I need to take a break. Spending more than half of one’s life savings is a bit of a odd feeling” Laughed Trios pocketing his prized possessions into the inside of his leather coat.

“And yes that’s it! A compass and Spyglass cost as much as a small house, do you have any idea how much I had to go through to make that much money?” Boasted the Isur as he raised his hand to point at the creature as if it was some great insult. Trios was sure that the amount of work that was considered hazardous to one’s health should have give him way more money than he had but he was proud of the gold he earned as a free lance adventurer.

“And if your wondering why I’d be spending so much money, it’s because of a venture I have underway. I need to make sure everything is set before I brave the wilderness once again. I be a slave to my dreams Miss Pycon.” Trios said a slight hint of pride to his cold nature as he spoke.

“Also, if ya don’t mind me askin, what brings a creature such as your self here? Do the Drykas have some sort of Pycon allegiance or village here?” Questioned Trios wondering if there was some small Pycon city hidden in the tall grass somewhere.

The pirate rambled on and on, but Ariel wasn't really listening, “and if your wondering why I’d be spending so much money, it’s because of a venture I have underway. I need to make sure everything is set before I brave the wilderness once again. I be a slave to my dreams Miss Pycon," he said.

Ariel sighed. Why oh why did I let him catch me she thought to herself. “Also, if ya don’t mind me askin, what brings a creature such as your self here? Do the Drykas have some sort of Pycon allegiance or village here?” Trios asked.

Ariel laughed. "No, no, I'm just here to have an adventure," she paused, "and as far as I know, I'm the only pycon around. But then again, you never really know, my people are fairly good at hiding and blending in... you know, when we want to."

Ariel looked straight ahead, at all the Drykas that gave the pirate strange looks, like he had completely lost his mind. They didn't seem to notice her. It was hard for her not to laugh, or to be insulted. She wasn't that short after all. In fact, she was tall for her kind.

So as it turns out the Pycons were like a nomad like race, or he was just talking to a wonderer of the race thought Trios as he contemplated her answer. There were also thoughts about how such a small being could be useful. Sure spy and espionage came to mind easily but in terms of battle, Trios couldn’t see the Pycon on his hat fighting anything bigger than his hand to be a fair fight.

“Oi haven’t you seen an Isur talking to a Pycon on his hat before” growled Trios at the onlookers by that seemed to cast questionable glances at him and the small creature on his hat. The Isur wasn’t hurt that they thought him crazy but was just enjoying the reactions when he yelled at them for looking at him. To see some of the Drykas instantly turn their heads or cast him more cautious looks was highly amusing.

“An adventure you say, hold that thought one sec” Trios quickly said his full attention was now instantly drawn to the little creature on his head. If someone of that size was on an adventure it was defiantly worth hearing about, plus it was a great way to pass the time. To listen to a tale with a stiff drink was a very pleasurable pass time.

Finding a nice spot against a tent Trios casually sat himself down in the cold grass. As Trios’s left hand placed his hat with the small Pycon on top of his lap, Trios’s right hand withdrew a small water pack that didn’t contain it’s namesake. It was in Trios’s nature to respect any sort of journey or adventure no matter if it was ongoing or small. If a tale was to be told he’d hear it while showing respect for it.

“Well then miss Pycon, lets hear about this adventure of yours, I’m all ears” Trios said as he took a long swig of the substance in the water pack which tasted rich and had a nice warm feeling down the throat. After the one swig the Isur returned the pack into his jacket, truth be told he was a light weight on the drinking so one toast to a tale was all he could afford if he were to remember it later on.

"Oi haven’t you seen an Isur talking to a Pycon on his hat before?” growled Trios at the onlookers. Ariel laughed as most of them turned away, or even ran. Ariel pointed at the one that ran, laughing hysterically, clutching her belly with her free hand, as she doubled over with the infectious noise. "My that's hysterical," Ariel said as she dropped her hand and slapped her knee. "Isn't it?"

Ariel didn't wait for an answer, she wasn't even sure Trios offered one, because the next thing she heard him say was, “an adventure you say, hold that one sec,” as he found a place to sit, took his hat off, and set it in his lap. The view wasn't as nice, that was for sure.

"Well then miss Pycon, lets hear about this adventure of yours, I’m all ears” Trios said. Ariel laughed. "Unfortunately, I haven't had too many of those. Takes a long time for me to get around, and studying is rather time consuming. Spent several months in the university and its library studying auras... Took my time growing up... but I still have a long way to go..." she said, her voice trailing off into the distance, as did her gaze. They weren't really taking anything in. She was faraway, in another time and place, remembering the smell of old books, and how they felt beneath her feet, how long it took her to get through one.
