Edward Joseph Appearance Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 20 Birthday: 31st of Spring, 495A.V. Birthplace: Zeltiva Occupation: Clerk at the Ethereal Notions Appearance: Edward stands around six feet tall with a body that built a bit of muscle from lifting and transport heavy cargo from time-to-time. His skin is naturally fair, but due to exposure of the sun his skin is slightly tanned. His hair is often unkempt and usually grows out to a medium length; if his hair starts to touch his shoulders he cuts his hair to a shorter size. The colour of his hair is ash blonde and eyes are light hazel, these are the only traits that were handed down to him from his mother. Character Concept Armed with a keen perception and insatiable curiosity, Edward often delves into things that trigger his concerns. His curiosity often causes gets into trouble as he gets involved with issues that don’t involve him. Edward is headstrong and outgoing, an individual that won’t shy away from large crowds or conversations. Since his mother was a natural in the world magic branch of Spiritism, he was taught the basics of the magic in hope he can help liberate ghosts to move on. However, unlike his mother he has yet to grasp the more physical aspect of the world magic, combat. Because of this, Edward relies on peaceful means till he has a grip on fighting against more violent spirits. Character History Edward was born and raised in the city by the sea, Zeltiva. Life back at his home city was peaceful, most of the time. When he was living with his parents, he did odd jobs for various people to earn his meal at the end of the day. Over time, Edward slowly found life at Zeltiva dull, boring or mechanical; this slowly fed his desire to find a new place to experience. After much pondering and thought, Edward made the decision to move away from his home to the city of Syliras. At times Edward regrets leaving the life he had home. The family Edward lived with consisted of his father, David Joseph, and his mother, Kayah Ayers. His parents used to be students at the University of Zeltiva. His father studied politics and is now a teacher of the subject. As for his mother, she studied Spiritism as she had a natural talent towards that branch of world magic. However, after the birth of Edward she discontinued her study to become a raise him. As Edward grew up, his parent taught his, sometime by force, their respective skill and knowledge. From his father, Edward found an important tool, his own voice. From his mother, he discovered the ghostly side of Mizahar; as well as the basic grasp of the ancient language. However, over time, Edward developed his own set of skills; his keen sense of perception. During Edward’s childhood, he had one very close friend. It was a young girl named Nina. Her mother was of Vantha descent, and was said that Nina very closely resembled her. However, Nina’s mother was declared dead when the transport ship that she was aboard on was scuttled by an assumed group of bandits. Edward’s family were close to Nina’s, and attempted to comfort her and her father after the incident was known. The relationship between Edward and Nina is similar to siblings, but in later years some misinterpret their relationship. Nina was a bright and surprisingly athletic, she knew the basics of her mother’s language and tried to teach it to Edward at his request; however, he couldn’t grasp the language well. As the two grew up, Nina was often tasked to keep Edward out of trouble as he was known to delve into them. During Edward’s decision of leaving home, Nina was one of the major reasons stopping him from leaving the city. When Edward made the tough decision to move away from his family, he made his away to the city within the walls, Syliras. Edward made the journey their by traveling with a decently large caravan group making their way to the city. Edward found the trip rather harsh, as he saw what life was like outside the city; barren and desolated. Upon reaching the city, he soon took up residence within the walls.
