Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Gone yet still here.

The ship slowly drifted toward the dock and Orabelle just watched as the city got bigger and bigger. No matter how many times she left and came back, the sight of Riverfall never got old. The sound of the akalak men shouting, water crashing against the boat filled the air along with bird calls and Orabelle enjoyed it. Home, she thought- closing her eyes and thinking about the people she met, the choices she made- all in this very city. Orabelle could not, would not ever leave Riverfall even if it were the right choice. There were too many memories she would leave behind. She would not let one thing upset her so much that she'd think about somehow getting out her contract and leaving. I can always have another one, I can always try again. She could try again but she couldn't get herself to do it; to try again would make her feel guilty- like she did something wrong...like she did him wrong. She couldn't do that to him- her baby boy.

As the small casinor ship drew closer to the docks, Orabelle could see someone standing there, a familiar face waiting for her. It was an akalak. He had rough red skin even she could see, the man was tall too and he had long silver hair. The akalak's silver mane was the only thing that indicated that the man was much older than most akalak men. He was as strong as an ox and did mostly whatever the younger akalak men did.

Orabelle shifted the sails, that way they'd catch the wind and did her best to steer the small ship toward the docks. When she finally reached the docks, she was able to quickly draw the sails back. But the ship still moved, making a loud thud sound as it hit against the docks, leaving no marks or anything. This is simply what the man was waiting for- the ship was close enough that he could just jump on and help Orabelle set the ship still. "I see that you're back. Didn't go too far, did ya?" The man spoke to Orabelle after the ship was settled. His voice was very soft yet still bold and stern.

"Of course not, Flieyarik. If I did, I'm sure you as well as half of Riverfall would know." Orabelle said nonchalantly, hardly gazing at the man. She was looking everywhere else but in his direction.

"Good. I hope giving you this uh... what's it again?" The red man scratched his head as he tried to think of the name of the ship.

"Casinor."

"Yes! I hope giving you this casinor has helped bring you closer to Laviku." The man touched a part of the sail, smiling at it. "You know, when I found this casinor, I was thinking of keeping it all to myself...but I didn't expect someone, well you, would show up and ask for it." The akalak thought about the night he met Orabelle and there was so much he did not know. There was so much that he wanted to know about the mixed blood but she refused to speak to him. To anyone.

Orabelle finally made eye contact with the akalak, her cold blue eyes were sad yet she still smiled. "I forgot to thank you that night. How long ago was it? I cannot even remember." She has not been keeping track of time lately. Since that night...she just wanted to let everything go. What was the point?

"Me either... I'm too old to remember." The man laughed a bit. After he was done, it grew quiet and they both just stood there. It was just a tad bit awkward until Orabelle decided to speak again.

"I think I'm going to try to the way things were before. No more long Belles out on the casinor or hiding. I want to be apart of Riverfall again." She paused to think about a few things. "I miss my friends and-and I miss my job and going to holiday parties." She nodded her head as she thought about what she just said. She did not really think either of the three things she said would be the same. Orabelle had been gone for so long, it would just be impossible. She wondered if anyone remembered her, she wondered if someone had already taken her place at Red Diamonds fashion. How many balls and parties had gone by? Did anyone even notice she wasn't there?

"Good, good." The akalak nodded his head.

"I think... I think I'm going to go now." She said as she waved goodbye to the akalak. But before she stepped off the ship, she whistled. After she whistled, a young girl had came from below deck, smiling before she joined her aunt. "We're returning to Riverfall." Orabelle told the girl.
