Calendar   Winter 515 D [1st] Astronomers at the Gateway announce the upcoming Super Full Moon. N [3rd] The Super Full Moon is celebrated, although no one can really see it through the snowfall. D [5th] Because of the high winds, Okomo caretakers on the Sharai Peak have stopped taking wool from the Okomo to offer them some relief from the wind. However, sheep wool is still available. D [7th] Wind Eagles from Wind Reach arrive with the last trade of the season. The transactions are quick in anticipation of the bad weather, and when they leave, some get left behind or choose to stay. D [10th] The hunters bring up the last kills of the season, all that is possible is preserved rather than sold. They are advised not to go back down, for their safety and to preserve Caiyha's creatures. D [16th] Trying to work before the winter snow, the Akka work to try and fix the landslide site. Yet when the snow begins to fall more frequently in the sky, the work stops. D [26th] The people have been seeing snow above the city all winter, but the first evidence of snow sticking to the ground is seen. The silk Palace offers a 5% discount on animal furs to try and counteract the wool prices (which have raised by 10%). N [30th] Multiple sightings of a distressed spirit have been reported from the Bharani Library from the beginning of the season. The story is published in the Gazette and citizens start to stay away from the Library. D [33rd] A class of twelve-year-olds from the Alluvion Academy visit the Library on a field trip. One child goes missing and an alarm is risen. He is found sleeping in the Geography section during the noon rest hour. N [38th] Ready to be done with the spirit rumors, the head librarian calls for a spiritist's help with the supposed spirit. He is worried the recent renovations have awoken it and does not want that to interfere with business. D [42nd] After consulting with Seanja, Talora announces that the winter stores are now being rationed. There are no words from Aysel, but his seal is on the announcement. Official holiday feasts are still provided for, but every day preserves have lessened considerably. N [47th] The Tranquil Port Freezes over, but no one is down the mountains to notice. N [52nd] Not long after the rationing is called, it is broken to provide for the Midwinter festival. Even Talora comes out during the night for the festival entertained by the quickly drunk Aysel, although not many recognize her mortal form. D [61st] When the snow finally falls to the streets and stay there, Aviakittis is held. Only restaurants and teahouses remain open to provide for those who don't wish to cook their own feast. D [72nd] A citizen claims to see Zintila heading down the path to the Amaranthine Gate during the noon rest hour, and speculation arises as to where she is going. However, most don't believe the rumor and the speculation are little more than fantastic stories between children. N [81st] During the snowy days leading up the Azure festival, adults and children spend their time inside. To pass the leisure time at night, friends and families gather together to craft masks celebrating their peak's chosen theme. N [88th] The Azure Festival is held. D [90th] The Spring Harvest is being planted and the hunters return down the mountain to get fresh meat for the city.
