Full Name: Abhati Raine Race: Mixed Blood (Human/Dhani) Gender: Female Birthdate: Autumn 27, 497 AV (eighteen years old) Residence: Riverfall Language: Common (fluent), Pavi (poor)
Appearance:
Abhati inherited a lot of her appearance from her human mother. She is a gentle but sturdy figure, standing at 5' 3" and weighing an average of 115 pounds. Her frame is outlined by subtly waving locks of dark brown hair, which she leaves to fall freely around her shoulders or has tied up in a bun with a single tight braid. She views the world through eyes laced with the colors of mud and dingy moss. Her skin is pale and only lightly freckled. A ragged scar mars the surface of her throat, starting below her left ear and slanting down towards her right collar bone.
Character Concept:
Abhati's mother was of a fair-heart and raised her to be the same; however, abiding by the laws of the good is a constant struggle for the girl -her Dhani blood readily reveals itself to those who take the time to look for it beneath her skin. Her moral compass wanders astray quite easily if it's not kept in check and she has a tendency to become violent when provoked. A great deal of her time is spent hunting in order to settle her serpent nerves and she will become far more Dhani like in nature if she's not able to get out for awhile. If she is exposed to the cold for several minutes she will very gradually start to feel drowsy.
The girl doesn't see any value in lying. Most likely, she will never be caught uttering any words of false truth, though she isn't above conveniently left out details or simply not uttering any words at all. Abhati's mother never learned how to read, and her father was just barely able to. As a result of this, Abhati herself can only recognize a select few written letters and words in Common. (Her reading comprehension includes the words: 'Abhati', 'horse', 'is', 'the', 'my', 'and', 'name', 'dad', 'mom', 'brother').

On her way to Endrykas to trade materials with the horseclans, Kalyani Raine was unwillingly impregnated by a Dhani man. Frightened of what might become of the child, she birthed it and raised it alongside of her and her husbands older son in Riverfall, keeping the infants true father a secret. This child, Abhati Raine, learned and grew alongside her half-brother as an unreasonably violent and fickle minded girl. Kalyani worked tirelessly to try and tame her mixed blood daughter and was just barely able to keep the girls behavior within human reason. As Abhati grew older, she was gradually able to better contain her serpent nature. She grew into her mothers love of horses, and even came to follow her 'father' in the art of swordsmanship.
At the age of ten her 'father' began teaching her how to hunt. It was then that he and Abhati's brother discovered just how real her love of violence was, and it was then that they truly realized that she was terribly unusual. Her 'father' was frightened by her and quickly started avoiding her whenever he could. Her brother on the other hand, perhaps because he was young, or perhaps for some other reason, wanted only to help his sister. He began accompanying her on frequent hunting trips and did his best to help guide her dark nature.
Abhati especially enjoyed the challenge of hunting bare-handed, and on one such excursion she not so smartly decided to try and fell a young buck. Having taken on too big a challenge, she wasn't able to successfully make the kill. The deer left a long wound on the front of her throat with a swift kick and got away unscathed. Miraculously, the deer had just fallen short of severing her artery and she was able to keep her life.
In the years following her accident, she continued to live quietly among her family and occupied herself by hunting (now by safer means) and by working at the stables. Here she found her beloved horse Rabbit, and built up the courage to move into seclusion on the outskirts of the city. No matter how much Kalyani and Abhati's brother tried, she simply couldn't fit in with the common folk. Visits home were frequent at first, but the fear and resentment that befell her from within the gaze of her 'father' forced her to return less and less frequently. Eventually, she no longer thought about the road that lead up to her childhood home.

Rabbit:

Rabbit is a four year old kavinka paintedmount stallion. He is a light bay tobiano and stands 15.1 hands at the withers. A rather small and delicate air surrounds the budding colt, though one shouldn't let his appearance fool them. He is terribly mischievous. It's an amusingly bad habit of his to feign good manners, only to seek trouble when eyes are averted from him.
Abhati found the youngster when he was just a few moons past a yearling. Working as a stable hand at the time, she found him lying alone by the tossed manure. Having received a debilitating injury to his right hind leg, he had been abandoned on the doorstep of fate by his breeders. After a great deal of time, effort, and good care, he was able to make a near full recovery. He still has a noticeable crook to his injured limb and cannot be ridden long distances.

Abhati consistently carries a small, aged hunting knife with her. It's typically housed inside her left boot on the outside of her leg. The hilt is crafted out of bone, the blade out of steel. It's not an intricate, nor a particularly efficient weapon, but it was given to her by her brother many years ago and she will likely never part with it.
