Physical Appearance:

An inch shy of being six foot tall, Yvan has a stocky, athletic build he hides under multiple layers of clothing. With light brown hair and milky-blue eyes, the man has never been much of a head-turner and to see him smile is a rare luxury.

Preferring dark, neutral tones, Yvan often dresses in earthy colours that provide adequate camouflage when working outside of the city walls or manning supply runs. As he is top heavy with broad shoulders and narrow hips, it isn't unusual for him to don a cloak or light chainmail.

Though Yvan is a big man, he is very approachable, often going down on one knee to speak to children in the street while he is on patrol. His hands and face are weathered, making him appear somewhat older than his years, especially in the summer if he sees too much sun, but on the whole the man is healthy, even if he does carry an extra pound or three around the waist.

Personality:

Yvan is a very adaptive man used to packing up and moving about whenever work calls. He has been known to live out of a bag and enjoys the time he spends outdoors. While he appears quite the social creature, Yvan is deeply private and keeps his affairs to himself, separating his work and home life accordingly.

Like all humans, he is flawed and oftens learns what his true weaknesses are when under duress or highly stressed, but with faith in his god, he has learned to overcome much of the strife that plagues other men. It is unlikely to run into him in one of the taverns as Yvan prides himself on his image and standing within the community. He is more than happy to train alongside the squires and is humble for the most part.

Not overly fond of animals, Yvan is kept company by his Akinva Deerstalker, a two year old bitch that often accompanies him on hunting trips or during his leisure time on small excursions across country when he is off duty. He named the dog Jet due to the colour of her black coat.

History:

Raised on a small farm near the Mithryn Outpost, Yvan has remained in Syliras his whole life and has little desire to travel. As a boy he watched his father work himself into the depths of insanity, making the best of what they had until it eventually took his life. His mother was a tender soul who seldom raised her voice and struggled to keep two growing boys and a young babe after the loss of her husband.

When his mother remarried, and after the death of his little sister, Saoirse (sear-sha) in the winter of 495, Yvan, nearing his teens, decided to squire for a knight by the name of Ramsey, who owned a plot of land near the shore. Ramsey Druva was a man of good standing with an honorable name who treated Yvan fairly, teaching him the importance of the law and what it truly meant to uphold it.

Though he seldom speaks about his younger brother, Marcus, the man is still alive and well, struggling to make a living running the small family farm. Very few know that Yvan has a brother, as the knight is ashamed of his brother's misdealings and less than honest work ethic.

Housing:

Mithryn Outpost with a small one-story cottage. It is by no means fancy and only include a few windows, a living room which doubles as a bedroom, a small privy, and a small attic for storage. The cottage also contains very basic wooden furniture such as a single bed, a desk, a chair, and a storage chest, the hearth is located in one corner of the living room.
