Aleron Magefist Pitrius

Appearance

Race: Isur
Gender: Manly Man
Age: 32
Birthday: 86th Fall, 483
Birthplace: Sultros

Appearance: Aleron, like all Isur, is short at five feet in height. He has a youthful appearance that can sometimes get him mistaken for a young man. The ridge on his brow is only lightly prominent, easily missed if one is not observant. His skin, like most Isur, is very pale with a bluish tint. His Isurian arm easily gives him away as an Isur, a blackened metal arm with silvery veins coursing throughout it.

Very physically fit, Aleron has had his body shaped through genetics, forgework, and hardship. He stands with a proud, stern look that can look unsettling for someone of his apparent age. His bluish-tinted black hair is very short, often well-combed in a decisive manner. He will typically wear the colors of his clan mixed with his own preference consisting of various blues and blacks with the occasional yellow.

Character Concept

Aleron, like any other Isur, is full of himself. He believes himself to be superior to the other races, but he will not often admit this for he believes that everyone still has value and doing so would tarnish a potentially useful relationship. Most of all, he loves his craft. For an Isur, while he is creative, he is at time absent-minded. He gets satisfaction from making things and to pull him from his work can sour him up for the coming hours of the day. All of this aside, he is still much more sociable than the average Isur so long as you catch him on a good day.

Enjoying the company of other Isur, especially of his clan, Aleron more easily bonds with non-Isur wizards, scientists, and artisans than other non-Isur. Disliking politicking despite understanding its intent, he prefers not to get involved in politics or government and does not like restrictions placed upon his work. Aleron feels as if he can do more outside of Sultros than within, partially disagreeing with the Isur practice of reclusiveness. Because of this, while he admires Sultros and the Silver Tower, he sees the value in working outside of Sultros. He does intend to one day return however with what he has learned.

Keeping in line with his ideals, he shares a respect for the Miza and business. He will often tailor his creations to the needs of others to establish recurring customers of his work, even though he is still a child by Isurian standards of craftsmanship. He is reluctant to share his clan or family name with outsiders, for both allude to his nature and knowledge and some do not appreciate magic as the Isur do.

Character History

An Isurian of the Pitrius clan born to the young, small, and less influential Magefist family, Aleron came into the world without hereditary respect, nobility, or power. The only thing that he had, which he latched onto, was his work for the small family workshop and smithy where he learned the basics of Magecrafting and Auristics.

When he was old enough, the young Isur debated on applying to become a Sentinel of the Silver Tower. Pressures from his family forced him to apply despite his youth and ineptitude. He was allowed to take the tests, but he failed the test of body, the very first test, when he severely sprained his ankle, nearly dying under the weight of the package which crashed into his head to give him a concussion. Out cold, he dreamed of something greater than the dark halls, far from Sultros. This changed him, and he decided not to take the test again. Instead, he began to ask around for details about the surrounding lands. It was then that he heard of the Southern Border Post, and putting together a sum of coin and supplies he prepared to leave with the next caravan of Isurian merchants headed for the Southern Trading post. As a parting gift from his family, he was honored with a golden symbol of Izurdin so that Izurdin may further be with him in his travels, an object which he now cherishes.

His stay at the Post gave him insight into the world around him. The other races gave Aleron a massive culture shock. Their immodesty, magical distrust, childishness, and recklessness astounded him. It took some time for him to get used to their wanton behavior, but he eventually grew to accept them. He began to grow more curious about the town of Riverfall. Parting ways with his Isur brethren, he boarded a Svefran ship to Riverfall. Realizing that the smiths of Riverfall were far more skilled than he originally thought, Aleron begrudgingly accepted an apprenticeship under a pair of Akalak smiths, deciding that he could hone his skills and earn coin while he decided what to do with his life.
