Within the Sharai Peak lays a shanty in a courtyard surrounded by a large garden, with stone walls on all sides that are covered from top to bottom with climbing ivy. There's only one way in and out of the walled-off courtyard; a long archway covered in climbing plants, wide and tall enough for the passage of an okomo, is the only entrance. The entrance opens to a large garden area, past which is a courtyard where practice is held. A large shack sits at the back left-hand side of the courtyard; this is where Kay-Kay and Fretu live.
The props for showtime and practice, unless you have your own, are also kept inside. The courtyard that stretches across to the shack is a stone floor which fits ten people with some room to spare, which is where practice for the Spinning Glimmers is usually held. Scorch marks and dents on the stone are common, much to Fretu's dismay and despite his best efforts. The courtyard is owned by Fretu, passed down by inheritance after his father died, and was taken over as a clubhouse for the Spinning Glimmers after he bonded with Kay-Kay. Two cats, Oliver and Barley, can often be seen wandering around; they're very friendly, and belong to Fretu.
The Spinning Glimmers are a motley crew of performers, specializing in the use of poi, hula hooping, dance, and reimancy. Fire is their specialty, with the reimancers blowing fire, juggling flaming objects or using lit fans, dancing with fire, and spinning poi which are on fire as well. For an awe-inspiring show, it's hard to beat the Spinning Glimmers; they'll leave you breathless with their antics and expertise in fire play.
Fire isn't the only thing they use, though it's their most popular; all types of reimancy have their place in their show. That being said, let it be clear that there are performers, and there are reimancers; the latter are the main stars of the show. You may be hired if you're a competent enough dancer and have other necessary skills, and can be taught poi, hula hooping, or any of the other special tricks they do, but you will be more of a side-act to the reimancers.

She’s a simple girl, doesn’t need much to keep her happy, but loves to talk, keen to speak her mind, and always seems to have a story on hand for the occasion. She knows many stories, some factual and from her personal life while other stories are of a more mystical nature, her favorite being fables and fairytales. Inside her bones is a fire and zeal which can come off as eccentricity that most people find endearing. In recent times she’s found herself head of a dance group, The Spinning Glimmers, who specialize in mixing reimancy with dance, juggling, poi, and hula hooping. The group is her life, when Kay-Kay isn’t catching a nap she’s here, training and working her fuzzy butt off for the next performance. With the constant flow of drop outs, people who can’t handle the skills or end up not liking the work (sometimes due to Kay-Kay's attitude), she needs the Dawn Tower, where she learned her fire reimancy from, to find new people willing to be apart of her troupe.
When she's in the zone the gloves come off, she loses some of her cheery demeanor and gains a "what I say, goes" attitude, she's very serious about her work even if it is a sideshow act. Not one to take no for an answer, she pushes the limits of her performers every time they practice, the ante going up ten fold when it's time to finally perform. It's taken her a long time to get her troupe to where it is and she intends to keep her hard work on the up and up.

He’s a cat person and Kay-Kay is his bondmate. Not only is he the composer and main performer for the Spinning Glimmers, he’s also the caretaker for the gardens where their practicing is held. This is what takes up most of his free time, when he’s not in he and Kay-Kay’s shanty writing or practicing his music he’s out in the gardens taking care of the lot. Calm, poetic, carefree, are all good words to describe Fretu.
Most of his music is upbeat and fast paced, a stark contrast to the man’s calm demeanor. His preferred instrument is the lute. When he plays he goes into a trance-like state of pure concentration, it’s in his music where he expresses himself the most. He enjoys this work, but will only take you on if you already have some knowledge of the instrument in question, he doesn’t like having to teach which string is where and how to hold the instrument correctly, he’d rather teach music theory and what notes to play.

The only prerequisite for joining the Spinning Glimmers as a reimancer is some form of reimancy; you should have a knowledge of the magic unless you're a musician, in which case you should have some knowledge of the instrument you use and/or some skill in singing. If you're here to learn to perform in the routine as a dancer or juggler, but have no idea how to use djed or any other skills, you WILL be redirected to the Dawn Tower and have you learn the ropes before joining.
If you have rudimentary skills they can teach you based off of that. They will not teach those with no skill at all in reimancy, singing, or musical instruments though they have no qualms teaching you to dance, juggle, hula-hoop, use poi, or to get better and build on the three skills aforementioned. If you have skills in an instrument or singing and not in reimancy, but wish to join as a dancer, you may be accepted as a back-up dancer provided you are competent enough in dancing. Once you've joined there is an initiation ritual all the newcomers are subjected to before you can start practicing with a group.
