"Come here my babiesss," Solas crooned to her snakes in the snake-tongue. She had 5 of them that she had found in various parts of the world, and they were very important to her. Being part snake herself, she enjoyed her Dhani form, which let her show both sides of herself. It was time for her to show the world the intriguing beauty of snakes. Her snakes all slithered forward to her, knowing the rewards they would get if they obeyed. They were all venomous, and could easily kill a person, but Solas didn't mind. She had full control over them, and thoroughly enjoyed showing them off. She shifted to her human form, as to not scare anyone that wasn't accustomed to it. She stood up, it was time for her audition. Turning around, as if she was facing an audience, she crouched low and hissed at her snakes. The smallest, a red and black one, slithered over and she stuck her hand out to it. It crawled up her arm, winding itself around it, until she had her own live snake armband. She stood up, and this time hissed something else, unintelligible to everyone else. A different snake, this time a fully green one that was quite larger, slithered around her in a circle. It reared back, looking as if it intended to strike, but instead launched itself at her. This one wound itself around her waist, her own living belt. She stroked it a few times before continuing. As she hissed her third command, a black cobra slithered forward, slowly inching towards it. It flared its hood, and slowly worked its way up her body, winding round and round, making hypnotic motions as it went. If anyone was watching, they would have been unable to take there eyes off of it. The cobra stopped as it neared her head, and flicked its tongue out at her cheek. She murmured to it, and it let its hood rest. She had something different planned for the last two snakes. They were quite a pair, a large snake that could easily crush a person, and another of equally large size. One was an earthy green, the other, an earthy brown tone. They slowly wound themselves around each other as she hissed, forming a live double-helix. They continued on, and untangled themselves, as they turned around to face the audience. They went on forward, splitting paths, and made there way around the small area. Solas had placed various objects around the circle, which had gone unnoticed before. The brown snake crushed the wood that had been left on its side of the circle, as it coiled itself around it. The green snake mirrored the movement on the other side of the circle, with another piece of wood. They uncoiled themselves, and continued around until they met each other again. This time, they headed towards Solas. They reached her feet, and at her command, coiled themselves up until they resembled ropes. She could do a lot more things with her snakes, but this was all that she felt comfortable doing at the moment. Signaling to her snakes that they were done for now, they unwound themselves from her, and slithered back to the holding box that she had made for them to keep them warm in. To reward them, she gave them each a mouse as a snack. Once she was done, she turned around and bowed, signaling the end of her performance.

Cheska walked along the cobblestone streets, enjoying the familiar smell of the sea. She'd have to watch herself, there were people who knew her here. It was odd, she'd fled this very city, traveled to Sunberth, then came right back!

The world certainly works in mysterious ways.

The human girl pulled her cloak closer around her thin shoulders. She wasn't out to buy groceries today, but rather to see the familiar sights. As long as no one from her master's household saw her, or even worse Aidriana, then all would be well.

As Cheska was wrapped up in nostalgic thoughts, she hadn't paid any attention to what lay directly ahead of her. With a "Oomph!" the girl walked straight into a tightly packed group of people. They glared at her for a second, then turned their attention back to something else.

"Sorry!," squeaked the girl, but quickly realized she was being ignored. What was happening over there, it had to be something interesting. People usually shouted at her when she ran into them, simple glares were not enough.

Cheska stood on her tiptoes, trying to peer over the small crowd of people. After a while she sighed in exasperation. This was going no where. She didn't have to be frightened, this was her city.

Shoulders back, chin up, the young woman steeled herself. Suddenly she began to push her way past people, her thin form enabling her to squeeze by with minimal complaints. Apparently, someone didn't like that. Cheska's foot caught on someone's boot, and she was sent sprawling. By the time she had picked herself up, she realized that she was in the front of the crowd! Facing giant snakes!

With a frightened squeak, she took a step back, watching the performance from a slightly greater distance. Amazing! This woman could control snakes? Cheska had never heard of such a thing.

"Bravo!" she called when the act finished, clapping loudly. "Umm, excuse me ma'am, but have you ever thought about joining other talented performers at say, the Circus?" asked Cheska, once the crowd had cleared up a bit.

[
]Solas faced the woman who had spoken to her. She had been looking for something to do, and had never given much thought to the circus. She performed on the streets sometimes as she traveled to earn money, but that was about it.

"I sssupossse I could consssider it," she said, as she stared at her.

A lot of people were scared off by her demeanor, and she wasn't sure if this woman would be also. "Where isss thisss circusss?" Solas asked, as she finished packing up her stuff.

She would have to find a place for the night soon, and had her horse to go look after. She started making a mental checklist, as she waited for the woman to answer her.

"We've set up just outside the city," replied Cheska evenly, trying not to show her surprise at this strange woman's voice. Perhaps it was because she worked with snakes so much? Well, Cheska wasn't about to let her own naievete get in the way of recruiting members. Besides, she felt more confident here than in Sunberth, and it was time to put that newfound confidence to use.

"I could show you if you like, and whenever you'd like to come up and join us would be just grand!" Cheska smiled in a friendly manner. "My name's Cheska, by the way."

"That would be fine, I sssupossse. My name is Sssolasss," she said to her.

She wasn't used to kindness, and was still wary of this girl. She would check out the circus though, and see if it would be a good fit for her for now. She stood, waiting to be led away.

OOCOkay, looks like we're running out of material. Why don't I just wrap this up? Let me know if you want to keep posting.

"Nice to meet you, Solas," smiled Cheska. She didn't try to shake her hand, since Solas seemed a bit uncomfortable with the current situation. It wouldn't do to have a new recruit feeling even more out of place.

Cheska would lead the way, turning her head frequently to check if Solas was still behind her. The young woman knew these streets well, it was where she was born. Turn right, left here, and left again. They followed a twisting, but short route towards the edge of town. Once the buildings were at their backs, Cheska pointed towards some tents that had been set up outside of town. "We're headed over there. Welcome to the circus!"
