Dugarn

Appearance

Race: Svefra
Gender: Male
Age: 25
Birthday: The 20th Day of Winter, 490 AV
Birthplace: Suvan Sea

Physical Details: Dugarn is a tall, tan and fairly handsome Svefra standing at six feet, four inches tall and weighing about two hundred and twenty-five pounds. His tall sleekly muscular body is a testament to the fact that he is a hard working seafarer. He wears his dirty blonde hair just past the shoulder and is usually worn loose to flow as it wills. Like all of his kind he has blue eyes the shade of a warm summer day. Dugarn wears his facial hair in a short neat goatee . He may look like a carefree well toned sailor while on his ship, but put in a more formal setting Dugarn cleans up very well; going from vagabond to proper gentleman and making the transition quite smoothly.

Character History

Dugarn as with many if not most of his kin, was born upon the tides of the Suvan Sea. He was born to very average but loving parents and an only child of his mothers. When a people live upon the sea as the Svefra do it is common practice to use and reuse items that are found to have been cast away from others as trash. It was Dugarn's father who had taught him what he knows about salvaging and scavenging for things. The young Dugarn was a diligent pupil and learned quickly that in a shipwreck there were always "little" treasures to be found. It mattered not whether an item had much cash value on the sea as the true value was if am item could be used to fix a ship.

As time passed on and the boy grew older he realized that he longed for something else, something different. Often Dugarn would see the coastline and the beaches, he found himself daydreaming about life ashore and how it would be different. It was not that he disliked living on the sea with his pod, on the contrary he loved it. But to the young man there was a romance about the land, an adventurous appeal about it. Over the years of his youth Dugarn picked up the ability to speak common tongue from different travelers his pod had given refuge to. The stories oh the stories the boy heard, they only fueled the fire in his heart.

Eventually Dugarn had heard enough and decided he was going to live his dream and go ashore. The grown man told his family about his plans and though they were sad to hear of his wanting to "walk about" they eventually gave into his plea and accepted it. They were only all too glad that he had not planned on going to far inland, as he told him he would stay on the coast so he could visit with the pod from time to time when they were in the area. It was as he was about to set off to shore that Dugarn's father gave the young man a gift, it was wrapped in linen of some sort but he knew what it was immediately. The item was just over three feet long and when it was handed over to Dugarn he unwrapped it to see. Sure enough it was the Tulwar that had been in his fathers family's hands for more generations that he knew. It was a weapon that for the most part showed it's age. There were marks and smudges from this fight and that battle and each told a story, sang a song of his family. He then parted a bitter sweet goodbye and pointed his ship toward Kenash, a place he had heard many stories about.

Tavan: Dugarn's Tavan is a female sea otter named Lina she is about 44 inches long and weighs 60 pounds. She has blue eyes and has an almost chestnut colored pelt.

There are a few things you need to look at. Please take a look and PM me with any questions and when the changes have taken place. Thank you.

    1. You might want to opt for Black color on the font instead of red on red. It would be easier to read.
    2. Age would be 25 instead of 26 as you havnt gotten to the winter of 516 yet. Or change your year to 489.
    3. A typical sea otter does not have blue eyes. They have dark eyes. Blue eyes would be bad for a sea otter as those eyes don’t see as well as their natural eyes. Their natural eyes are designed to swim in the sea.

I will be reviewing CS's and checking messages on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you need it checked before these days, reach out to a storyteller and they will know how to get a hold of me. Thank you.
