86th of Spring 516 AV
Agnusha’s strode made no noise as she went deeper in the woods. The day was bright and warmer now, as season coming to an end and the watchtower getting ready to wane its green shimmering. She didn’t bother herself to brought her cloak, instead she donned in the lightest garment she could find in her closet. Sleeveless shirt fitted comfortably to her body, dark colored trouser and an obi. She considered going out barefooted, but scraped the idea soon enough as she realized she won’t be able to reach Zintia unscathed, plus she did not want to step into Kuhari that might be survived Shinya’s trimming. However, his shoes did not make much noise on the ground.
Although she has no sight of the other, she knew she won’t be alone in the woods. Alheas Park has it’s own exotism to lure unprepared eyes to wonder. The multicolored tree grew in nearly every direction. Shades of pink and purple, blue and turquoise, absorb Syna’s warm radiance in order to biased their own unusually beautiful spectrum. It was like walking in a tunnel of rainbow.
She walked through the woods, followed the trails that opened by unnumbered foot that trampled the vegetation. It wasn’t the first time she was walking beneath the colorful canopy of Alheas, yet she’ll admit she could not remember the pathway clearly. The trails was winded and at some point, gone. Before long, she found herself wipe away dots of sweat from her forehead quite often. Why do I agree to meet up in this place again? Her mouth faded into a thin line as her brows met in consternation. She realized they should just met at Sharai, there were lots of green space there. And she wouldn’t have to break extra sweat because she basically lived there. Yet she took her step anyway and proceed.
The trails led her to a pond, she knew it as the center of the Park. Her eyes caught a glimpse of people as soon as she approached the body of water. Shied away, she trotted around heading to north as Halin’a had told her. Fortunately she was in her mortal seeming, it was easy to blend in this state. An ordinary seeming blackhaired girl holding an explorer staff wouldn’t attract much attention than an celestial being with horn and striking hair color. She sighed in relief. Unnecessary companion would be the last thing she wanted today.
Chimes later she found herself alone once again. That was her purpose after all. She looked for a peaceful place where she could study. She won’t make the same mistake twice, the shameful event in the Scholar’s Demise won’t happen ever again. Well to be honest she wasn’t felt regret coming to the tavern for she made new –unlikely- friend there.
North of the pond she walked, until she found a place where three fadeong grew near each other and their branches entangled. A bobcat jumped off terrified with her presence. The furry flash reminded her of what had happen winters ago in the frozen field. She let the staff rested in the fadeong trunk, while she squatted, cleaned the ground a little so her trouser wouldn’t get dirtier than it should be. She sat down facing south, savoring the support of the tree behing her back and cherishing the chance to straighten her legs. She had to admit Halin’a had a good notion to find such a peaceful place. Apart from the bobcat she saw earlier, there were neither animal nor people. Only greenness and the whimsical color of fadeong leaves. She had forgotten her complaints, apparently. The Lethaefal took out a book from her bag. Her finger slipped through the pages until she found the right one. Before long, she was delved deep into her reading. Unaware of eyes that might be gazing at her with curiosity.
