Character Concept

Cartez loves seeing and learning new things, making that clear in his day to day life. Though not quick to anger like many Inarta, he will not often turn down a challenge which gets him into a large means of mess. Though when it comes to meeting people he tends to get over excited. Despite having the physical features of his mother, he takes after his father in personality, often forgetting to think before acting and being a bit brash.

Character History

Cartez's father, Swift was a human traveler with affinity for Magic and lvak, while his mother, Celestia was an Wind Rider hunter for their home mount Skyinarta. Swift was Tuvalik; he would use the fire he made form his res in his dances and shows to make money and the common people he would pass his knowledge of dance and Reimancy. Cartez grow up close to Mount Skyinarta raised by his father and the Inartan people learning to fight both armed with a bow and weapon less.

There was a certain distance between Swift and Celestia’s idea of raising their child. Swift taught magic and the world outside the mountain, while Celestia's taught the traditional values of an Inarta. Cartez learned falconry from his mother at a very early age, but didn't pick it up right away. Being unable to work well with wind eagles at the time, he lost his fingertip to one. Thinking himself as a failure to his mother and the Inarta as a whole after multiple similar failures, he committed himself to learning more about Reimancy and Ivak, eventually resulting in a mark from the god. Cartez’s deep emotional stress was felt heavily by Swift. Trying to release some of the stress from his son found a traveling trader where he bought a young owl named Sky and gifted it to his son in a way of teaching him about options other than the traditional ways. Cartez learned much from that day and gaining a close friend inSky. Soon after Cartez's fifteenth year, his father left him traveling to the next land leaving both his wife and his son behind. At the age of twenty-three Cartez followed a similar route, leaving Mount Skyinarta to travel like his father and looking toward his new life of adventure.
