Classes/Lessons Kindergarten: In kindergarten, Yasi start to learn Common and whatever other language of their choice that is available. They begin to learn to read and write, and learn to play and interact with eachother. They have play time/recess thrice a day, along with a naptime after lunch. There is one tutor to help give children individualized attention if they're falling behind. The entire class happens in one room, with frequent field trips showing the Yasi how Wind Reach works and functions.
Basic Class: At this time, Yasi begin to learn history, religion, mathematics, wilderness survival and falconry. They continue lessons on language, reading and writing. They're taught the laws of Wind Reach and the importance of the castes. They learn general religion, about different Gods and Goddesses and what they do. They're free to choose any deity to worship, or none at all. Only recently has the teachings of Ivak been taught. There is one recess/play time, and one nap after lunch. There are two tutors to give children individualized attention if they're falling behind. There are less common field trips, with more attention given to more important areas. These focus more on information about the professions.
Advanced Class 1: This is when children begin their Bendi. Bendi are focused on the most at this stage. Yasi also start experimenting with skills and professions that interest them, such as Hunting, Botany and Glassworking. They practice in appropriate areas along with supervisors to find the skill that they do best. This is also a time when Avora may choose apprentices. Basic class is intensified, but not considered as important as Bendi or skill practice. There are no recesses or naptimes, but there are occassional short breaks for Yasi to socialize or do an activity of their choice. There are four tutors.
Advanced Class 2: Yasi continue Bendi and skill practice, and intensified classes are still taken every third day, but are optional except for the minimum requirement of 5 a season. As in, they have to take the classes 5 times a season. Avora are still choosing apprentices, and the Yasi are still working under a supervisor at their chosen skill. Skills should be chosen by now. Anyone who has not shown talent or proficiency shall be placed in Dek caste. Anyone with a disability shall be put into the Dek caste as well, unless someone of Avora or Endal caste vouches for them and takes them under their wing. This happens rarely, and said Avora or Endal will be required to do more work to make up for the invalid. There are four tutors.
Exams Exams are taken once each season for the Advanced Classes 1 and 2. For almost the entire season, teachers study their students and begin to formulate an individual exam for each one. This can be a long and difficult process, and each student will take multiple exams on "Exam Day" from their different teachers. Exams show the teachers which students need extra help and where the class is on said subject.
