Until Dex moved into Alvadas nobody had lived in the residence that he now calls home for more than two decades. This left some very apparent wear and tear on a lot of the building which is immediately visible from the outside. The red brick of the house is faded and chipped in some places though never exactly in need of repair but it should use a fix up. The windows are old and hard to open with mostly rotted out planters hanging just beneath them.
After entering through the oak door that creeks a little more than it probably should one would be faced with the house proper. With no more than one room to the house's name everything is mostly just scattered around in an attempt to look at least a little modest.
To the right upon entering you would find a table and a chair just next to one of the front windows of the home. To the left a chest and following on the wall next to it a small fireplace. The back end of the home contains the only bed around which is tucked into the left corner.
In the right corner visitors would happen upon a pile of haphazardly thrown art supplies. Broken charcoal, paintbrushes, dried out paints, and even a shattered easel are all forgotten to that part of the home. The only thing that stands out as art is an unfinished painting of a red haired woman and a strange dark haired man. On the back side of the art piece a small signature of Cortessa Starfield and Vausio Whipvine would be found.
The ceiling is rather full of uncleaned cobwebs which leaves an ironic feeling to anybody who connects Symenestra to spiders. There are also a few beams going across the ceiling of the house that make for a common place that Dex likes to climb to and lay on if for nothing other than being off the ground.
