"Alright." Edden is interrupted by the waitress bringing his meal with apologies for the wait. He waved her apologies off with his hand and took a bite of his meal, remembering what meat tastes like once again. He tried not to look too boorish as he quickly devoured the meat, but that didn't really work out too well. He was undernourished and ate like it. Edden never was one to care what everyone thought, least of all in this city.
Which brought his mind around to the question he wanted an answer for. He couldn't help but feel the answer the woman had given him was a little unhelpful, but what had he expected? This woman doesn't know him so why would she know what he wanted? He considered a bit more on the options he had previously thought of. He still disliked the idea of knowing when his father would die, and his garden wasn't that big of a surprise usually and really didn't warrant Edden enlisting a fortune teller of all things. So that left his travel question. Well, it was better than the other two he supposed, and the answer would help him understand what to do in the future should he choose to leave. He took a few moments to figure a way to word his request (and finish his mouthful. He wasn't that rude).
As he pondered how to phrase his question he mused about the man who had requested the Luck design. He had definitely fit the description of a gambler, and by the price a rather successful one at that. Father had not been well at the time and suggested that Edden do it in his stead after the man had left. Edden had promptly asked if he had gone senile and stated he wasn't ready for something as big as this. After the ensuing debate had been won by a landslide by the elder of the two, he got to work and produced the best price he had made. The buyer was well pleased and paid a bit more than was arranged.
"Can you tell me what would happen if I left the city?" Edden figured that was a good way to put it. Rather open ended but he didn't think that really mattered at the moment. He watched the woman for any reaction, almost like when he offers a price to a buyer. He was skilled at being able to tell if his prices were reasonable to whomever he was dealing with. Edden figured it'd work just as well to find out if he question was a good one or not.
