Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

"Alright." Edden is interrupted by the waitress bringing his meal with apologies for the wait. He waved her apologies off with his hand and took a bite of his meal, remembering what meat tastes like once again. He tried not to look too boorish as he quickly devoured the meat, but that didn't really work out too well. He was undernourished and ate like it. Edden never was one to care what everyone thought, least of all in this city.

Which brought his mind around to the question he wanted an answer for. He couldn't help but feel the answer the woman had given him was a little unhelpful, but what had he expected? This woman doesn't know him so why would she know what he wanted? He considered a bit more on the options he had previously thought of. He still disliked the idea of knowing when his father would die, and his garden wasn't that big of a surprise usually and really didn't warrant Edden enlisting a fortune teller of all things. So that left his travel question. Well, it was better than the other two he supposed, and the answer would help him understand what to do in the future should he choose to leave. He took a few moments to figure a way to word his request (and finish his mouthful. He wasn't that rude).

As he pondered how to phrase his question he mused about the man who had requested the Luck design. He had definitely fit the description of a gambler, and by the price a rather successful one at that. Father had not been well at the time and suggested that Edden do it in his stead after the man had left. Edden had promptly asked if he had gone senile and stated he wasn't ready for something as big as this. After the ensuing debate had been won by a landslide by the elder of the two, he got to work and produced the best price he had made. The buyer was well pleased and paid a bit more than was arranged.

"Can you tell me what would happen if I left the city?" Edden figured that was a good way to put it. Rather open ended but he didn't think that really mattered at the moment. He watched the woman for any reaction, almost like when he offers a price to a buyer. He was skilled at being able to tell if his prices were reasonable to whomever he was dealing with. Edden figured it'd work just as well to find out if he question was a good one or not.

A Meal for the Day

The other went to eat his food for a moment, and luckily, Arisia's food arrived a bit later, a smile crossing over her face as she ate. She wondered what question she would be answering, and what the cards would tell her. It told her a lot about people, what they wanted to know.

Her food tasted good, it was meat after all, and she quickly ate it messily. She had never truly mastered table manners, pushing her plate aside as soon as she was done, and getting out her cards again.

The man came back to her, asking for her to tell him what would happen if he left the city. It was a very broad question, so she knew that she wouldn't be able to give precise answers. It'd be likely that the answers would be general, and she would have to interpret the cards that way.

"Alright, I can answer that. It won't be specific though, so don't take it too literally."

She decided to use a three card spread, past, present and future. How the past would affect him leaving, what could happen in the present, and what in the future. It was an interesting question that she had been given, questions always told her alot about the people who asked them, and she learnt the deepest secrets and wants of some of her customers. It all depended on the person. She would never tell them though.

Arisia lay the three cards down, so you couldn't see the illustration or the name of the card.

A Meal for the Day

"Fair enough." Edden nodded. It made sense. But a broad idea was better than none so it made sense to him to go through with the reading anyway. Less specificity meant it wasn't entirely his fault if something went awry. Perhaps fate would smile on him. Again, he imagined his father's indignation at this sort of thing and wondered vaguely if he was too sick to respond. He shook his head to rid himself of the thought. That way of thinking was not going to help him.

In any case, traveling would have to wait for his father to pass. He couldn't leave him to fend for himself, and given his lineage's... Unsavory personality traits, friends were not exactly prime friend making material. Were he to leave his father would be alone. Edden didn't want that for anyone, especially his father, in the end of his life. Not to mention his garden would go to ruin. He wondered if bandits would somehow know he was gone and Rob the house. Edden again shook his head. Stop thinking foolishness, you have business.

Edden looked intently at the cards in front of the woman, focussing his mind on the task at hand. The three cards seemed almost menacing. It felt so important. He hesitated for a moment, unsure of if he was expected to do anything. He sent a quick glance to the fortune teller, hoping for any instruction if necessary. He tried in vain to recall any of the things he had read about card readings but was coming up short. He supposed that figured and let out a quiet sigh.
