While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

6th Day of Winter

It has almost been a week since her birthday and Sirah is only now getting the chance to leave Syliras and begin exploring the world as a whole. Sirah heard of stories of the city of Zeltiva and thoroughly looked forward to getting to see the grand city for herself. She first decided to hold Winter by the reigns and walk out a distance before hoping onto her and riding out for her travel. The human girl quickly took a notice to the sky and saw she had plenty of time this day to ride out for a bit. Sirah made to clicking sounds and pulled on the reigns to jump onto the back of her colorsplash and then yelled out "Forward!" The gray and white colorsplash then took off, following the road in front of them.

Sirah was impressed by Winter's pace, she hadn't had the chance to ride her at full speed in a long while. She began to think about how great this is, she should be able to reach Zeltiva in no time, and then anywhere else will be easy as well. Sirah came up to her first fork in the road in front of her, this post once had many signs but only held three now from aging. Two of the signs pointed in one direction labeled Ravok and Nyka, the last sign pointed in the other direction and said Sunberth. The remaining signs laid on the ground half rotted and some were unreadable. She tried to remember which way would take her to Zeltiva but ended up taking a guess. "To the right," she said to Winter, and the two began to travel down the road with less signs. "Maybe we can get a map from wherever we end up next," she said to herself as she watched the road in front of her carefully.

Sirah continued down the road until she noticed the sky above beginning to grow dark. She asked Winter to slow down and the two of them began to look for a place to set up for the night. Sirah tied Winter to a trunk of a tree and began to work on pitching her tent and started thinking about the lessons both her father and friend akalak have taught her. Using the rope to guide the top and setting the tarp even though it looked dry, Sirah was satisfied with her first tent on her adventure. She walked out a little ways to look for fire wood and set it in a pile near her camping site. The human carefully stacked the wood so plenty of air could get through it and used the flint and steel to start a beautiful fire for the night. She reached into her bag and pulled out some fish for herself and some cabbage for Winter. She carefully cooked her meal, trying to make sure that she wasn't going to burn anything and enjoyed her very plain meal. Once she was satisfied, she grabbed her bedroll and blanket and laid it out to sleep. She carefully stripped her clothing and tucked into her blanket for a good night's rest. Winter stayed outside and she also ducked her head and began to sleep for the first day of the wonderful adventure.

7th Day of Winter, 510 AV

Sirah woke up feeling completely refreshed, the cold breeze was actually relaxing as she exited her tent still only wearing her swimming set. She found Winter still sleeping as she went to grab her clothes and put them on for the day. She quickly re-rolled her bedroll and wrapped the blanket around it and began to take the tent down to begin the day's worth of travel. The fire she left had simmered to nothing and hardly any hot rocks remained, she grabbed what was left of the fire wood and set it aside to put on Winter when she woke up as well. The tent was rolled and the bag was filled, Winter was still sleeping and Sirah decided she would try and look for a pond or river to bathe in and refill her waterskin.

The skinny human ventured out a little ways till she could hear the sound of running water. She quickened her pace and found herself along a river bank, very clean and beautiful water filled this river and she couldn't wait to jump in. Sirah took a quick look around and stripped all of her clothes, including her swimming clothes, and grabbed her soap from her bag and jumped into the clear water. It was incredibly chilly but this didn't bother Sirah at all, she actually dunked her head underneath and laughed as she swam around for a while. She took her soap and quickly lathered her body and placed it back on top of the cover she used for it. She sat there for a while, enjoying the feeling of the water and just relaxing, almost completely forgetting that she had left her camp site a complete mess.

Cheif was taking sly strides through the Wildlands, following an odd scent that wafted to his nose. His slit pupils darted left and right, trying to spot anything near by. He kept a warey eye for Cheif did not like others.

He could hear the faint sound of running water, and figured it would be a good idea to head in that direction. He hoped he could rest and have a small drink before continuing on his scent adventure, but as he ventured closer to the sound, the scent he was following had gotten seemingly stronger. Cheif began to take quicker strides untill he could see the water. He narrowed his eyes and spotted her off in the distance. A young girl bathing in the water.

A smirk ran across Cheif's face and devilish thoughts entered his mind. He shook his head and tried to focus, keeping his hormones in check. He figured it would be best to leave the young woman alone, for he hated people, but ever since that one day where he met the young female Kelvic, girls have caught his attention. Cheif kept his focus on the lassie and began to edge closer, moving from tree to tree to hide himself.

Sirah was just finishing up her bath when she had that un easy feeling someone was watching her. She took a quick glance around and convinced herself that it was probably just some bird or something. She got out of the river and re-wrapped her soap and carried her clothes in her arms. She grabbed her bag and started to head back to the camp site, she hoped Winter had finished sleeping and maybe they could start making some ground for the day.

When Sirah got back to the camp site, she has relieved to see Winter was actually awake and ready to go. She gave her a pat on the head and started to re-load everything onto her colorsplash. She eventually got everything on her horse and started to get dressed since she had finally dried off.

Cheif watched as the girl left the water. Hi slit pupils dialated and they followed her movements. He found his body moving, following her as if he were in a trans.

The campsight appeared in Cheif's vision, and he continued to watch. Edging forward every so slowly, he observed she was packing up. Where is she going? Cheif wondered.

When the girl left, Cheif kept following. He stayed a good distance away from her, so he would not get caught. Then it hit him. How fun would it be to toy with this girl? To get her all worked up on someone following her. Cheif smirked, and he let out a small hiss. The hiss was just loud enough for her to hear it. He moved behind a tree so the girl would not see him, and very slowly peered around to see her reaction.

Sirah was on Winter and started heading down the road when she heard this odd hiss. She turned around and raised and eye brow trying to figure out what could make that kind of sound this time of year. Normally she would have guessed a snake but they don't tend to be out this time of year. Even if one was out, they would most likely be moving extremely slow from the cold right?

Sirah jumped off Winter and started walking back toward the direction she heard the sound from. She figured she could either find out what it was to put her mind at rest or help whatever it was if it needed it. She held her hand up toward Winter to tell her to stay put while she back tracked on the trail a little ways. When she could she the location where her camp site was again, she assumed it was nothing and turned around to get back to Winter.

Chief watched her walk around with a smirk on his face. He edged tword her, running from tree to tree. He made no sounds, trying to get as close as he could to this girl. As he moved to another tree, he saw her heading back to her mount. Cheif looked rather annoyed.

He started to follow her again, when, SNAP! A twig snapped beneath his foot, letting an echo travel off. Cheif cursed under his breath and froze. Did she hear it? Was the question in his head. of course she her it you twit! his mind told him. Cheif was looking for somewhere to hide.

Pressing him self against a tree, Cheif tried to throw his voice. He made a hissing sound again getting it to sound like it was in another area. He smiled a tad proud of his skills, and he kept very still and quiet. Hopefully she won't find me.

Sirah heard the sound of a twig break and someone muttering something from a small distance, she figured this was someone trying to follow her of scare her now. She acted as though she had not heard a thing and continued to ride forward. If this was someone trying to hurt her, she planned to at the least get him into the open and see the man coming. Sirah figured however that this road would be under heavy trees for a while, so she took a deep breath and lead Winter back toward the river she visited earlier. With a quick snap of the reigns, Winter bolted through the trees and right against the river bed. Sirah quickly jumped off and stood behind a tree trying to listen for her pursuer.

Cheif herd the girl jump off her horse. He quickly held his breath as she stood behind the tree he was standing behind. His heart raced knowing she was close. He didn't know what to do. Stealthily, he tiptoed away from the tree, trying not to get caught.

Little did he know, there was a hole in the ground not to far infront of him. Cheif was too busy trying to get away and didn't notice it. Pain surged through his ankl as it sunk into the hole and twisted the wrong way. "GAH!" He hissed and slapped his hand over his mouth. His cover was blown. Now he figured he'd have to play innocent.
