Time Stamp: 18th of Spring, 517AV
Location: Warstorm Pavilion
Who: Turrin
Two day left before the triathlon, and he needed a work on his swordsmanship before the contest. The warrior brought both wooden practice talon swords to the pavilion. His real talon sword never leaves his side ever. The Inarta walked to the sparring circle and waited for a chance to get into the ring with the winner. Turrin watched the two opponents as they squared off against each other. One was a woman with strawberry blond hair that was woven into a intricate bun. The other was a older man with strange tattoos all over his body. He was well muscled and his body was full of scars. This man was a seasoned Drykas warrior, the woman was in her early twenties, but the look in her eyes told him that she was also a seasoned warrior herself. He saw no scars on her body since she was mostly covered up, but he figured the thick fabric was covering her own battle mementos.
The golden eyed warrior watched in silence as the two warriors squared off. Each warrior was using a blunted short spear aimed for practice and large metal shields. He figured the shields were bought or traded for since in his days of living in Endrykas, he couldn't find a forge in the mobile city. Turrin watched their stances, and they both take up the same stance. Holding the shield in front of them, he saw the shield covered most of their torso while the only thing that he could see was their head. The spear was held over their head with there dominate hand. This was a defensive stance to protect the spear men from frontal attacks. When they were ready, their wasn't charge, but a slow series of movements forward. It wasn't a straight line. Each warrior tried to gain advantage by moving into gain the upper hand in positioning when they got into position the battle begun.
The male thrust forward with his seven foot spear. It was aimed at the exposed head of his opponent, but the women lifted the shield up in front of her head to block the incoming blunted spear. However, the blond woman didn't do a simple thrust, she swung her seven foot spear around her head in a circle swing towards her opponents legs. She meant to sweep him and knock him off his feet; however, the large tattooed warrior brought his shield down to defect the incoming spear. He seemed incredibly gifted with his shield skills. When the spear was deflected by the man, his first thrust was to the now exposed shoulder of the women's weapon arm. The women moved to defect the spear thrust with her shield, but the thrust was to quick, so the blunted point plunged into her unprotected shoulder. He could tell she grimaced in pain when the blunt spear hit her flesh. The bald man brought back the spear and thrust the blunt point down into top of her leg. The blunt point struck her in the top of the leg, and Turrin knew the fight would be over now since he disabled her means to attack her arm and her mobility her leg.
When the woman stood up straight, Turrin knew the spar was over. The blonde woman patted the older warrior on his back and walked out of the ring. The Drykas older man was victorious and said to the crowd first in Pavi. Turrin couldn't understand any of the words, so he just stood there quietly. The crowd didn't move when he said in broken common, “I winner, Any Walahk brave enough to face me! Me show you how steadfast Drykas on the battle field!”
