Tyrie![]() Physical Information · Race: Inarta · Age: 19 · Birthdate: 17th of Spring, 491 AV · Gender: Female · Height: 4’ 11” · Weight: 112lbs Physical Description By Inarta standards, Tyrie is little different from most others in appearance. The first and most recognisable feature of her are the scarlet locks. This natural, wavy mass stretches down a few inches her below her shoulder blades. Bathed in Syna’s light, it glows as a burning flame and is easily recognisable. When not hunting, it is usually found swaying loosely around with two silk ribbons woven in. One orange and one white, these were the bands her Mother gave her and she wears them with pride. Set in to her round face are two green and gold orbs. Changing from gold to green towards the edges of her irises, they speak volumes of the girl’s emotions. If you want to know how she is feeling, all you need to do is look at her eyes. But they also tell of a keen awareness that is all-important in her chosen profession. Much like her, her features are generally quite petite, she looks youthful and in that she also carries strength. Her body itself is like any Inarta’s. She is a very lithe and agile member of the race. Her small hands are dextrous and strong. Her agile form has a high endurance allowing her to traverse the mountain home that she has. She is not afraid to defend herself if her honour is drawn in to question and she has done before. She takes pride in getting things done as quickly as possible not through laziness but through belief that one can achieve more. Her Bryda are a simple black pair, completely unadorned. She swore never to adorn them until she has bonded with a Wind Eagle. The Vinati she wears is connected also to her Sontav. The red leather has simple black swirls that follow a pattern along her left arm and across her breasts. Her right is adorned with a bracer and glove of a similar style but this is not connected to her clothing. She also possesses a Katinu and Scarf, given to her as a gift from an admirer on her eighteenth birthday. Character Concept Tyrie is efficient in everything that she does. Her archery skills, food preparation, even sword fighting techniques all involve finishing as quickly as possible with a minimum amount of effort. This is not to say that she shuns more traditional and complex methods of doing things, she just looks for ways to make things easier. Tyrie is a proud individual but not to the point of arrogance. Her methods of efficiency mean that she puts a lot of thought in to what she does. It is this that she takes pride in. She hates deception with a passion and being accused of something she has not done. She is truthful and open about everything from her emotions to her thoughts. She doesn’t go out of her way to tell you everything she thinks but she won’t hold back if she is asked. She has a deep respect for the caste system and the rules that bind them. Working closely with a Wind Rider to help them hunt has however, led her to believe herself slightly elevated amongst those of her caste but she knows her place. She will not hesitate to defend herself and is perfectly capable of doing so. History Tyrie’s parents were both Wind Riders. Although neither was ranked very high, Tyrie has always been used to life in the Aeries of Wind Reach. It is where she grew up in her early years, worked as a Yasi and even now as a Chiet. But that is not to say she had even an easy life. Tyrie was simply lucky. She has learnt everything she has through hard work and struggle. And none of it has been any amount of easy. She raised by both parents on and off during her childhood. With each parent still having to join in the hunts each day to feed themselves and their child. It was instilled in her early that she had to do her part for the good of the Inarta. She was never taught to read and write but only enough to get by. Do not expect a novel from this child. She was also taught a great deal about the Wind Eagles and hunting. Like all Inarta though, life expectancy was never very long. Her Father died when she was six, along with his eagle. They were separated from their flight and found broken against the mountainside a day or so later. This left just her Mother to raise her. Tyrie’s Mother, Val, was a hardy, intelligent and cunning woman. The things that her husband had made her keep from her child were then begun to be taught. This included fletching arrows and stringing bows, using the weapons her Father had left behind. Before she went to join the Yasi, her Mother gave her two ribbons, one orange and one white. These two colours were the colours of her parents. It was generally the colouring of the clothing each wore. So, to this day, Tyrie reweaves these in to her hair each morning. During her years as a Yasi, she spent more time away from her Mother. These were the hardest years. Although her Mother still taught her hunting, she spent much of her time in classes. What truly sparked a change in her were the events before she turned fifteen. It was a day like any other, but after several failed attempts at courtship, a boy of similar age decided he would have her one way or another. With the help of a friend, Tyrie was overpowered by the larger males and raped. She has never spoken of these events, but they left her a far more determined and ruthless individual. It left her quiet for the remaining days she spent as a Yasi. Since then, she has heard little from her attackers. But the memory of her weakness drives her onward. It is what spurred her search for combat prowess and acrobatics so that she would never be that weak again. ![]() ![]() Equipment
