Appearance: He is a powerful Jamoura, a rather slim yet well-muscled specimen. He stands no higher than eight feet, his height working in tandem with his build to cause him to appear larger than he is. His thick arms are long enough to reach his knees without having to bend, his fingers long, thick, and quite a bit more dexterous than they look, claws short yet strong and sharp. His short fur is brown, appearing darker because of his dark-grey skin. His face is rather weathered from his time in the forest, naturally frowning lips and heavy brow causing his features to take on a rather intimidating cast.

Character Concept

Kaiu is a Jamoura that has lived his life away from his brethren and among the humans and Akalaks. While he wasn't raised as any normal Jamouran would be, he still retains the natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge of his people, even if that trait is rather suppressed in his day to day life.

He lives his days in Syka, playing the silent guardian of Nature. The newest settlement, to Kaiu, is a perfect opportunity to both observe humanity's need to destroy and attempt to stifle it or stop it altogether.

Character History

• Kith, Kaiu's father, was one of the few males born into his family's band. He and Faora, Kaiu's mother, always thought that he'd be the Alpha, yet it wasn't so. After gaining feelings of deep embarrassment and a low self-esteem, he and Faora had Kaiu, in a wild attempt at creating their own band of Jamoura. For reasons unknown even to Faora, Kith had the trio move to Riverfall aboard a trading ship.
  
• Delving deep into his past lives, Kaiu's father grew to slowly resent all of those non-Jamouran for their hunting of his kin. A rather present-focused individual, the destruction of nature for people's "selfish needs" only furthered his rage. A coward until his last moments, Kith passed his raging emotions and thoughts onto his child, only showing him how to kill animals yet never taking his anger out on those he felt deserved it.
  
• Kaiu's mother, Faoro, was too submissive to say anything against Kith until his death, but it was too late by then. Kaiu, who still had yet to learn about his past lives, had began to follow his deceased father's way of thinking, though with less focus on the crimes of men long past and more on those committed against nature in his own time. She did what she could to persuade him to think otherwise, even diverting his possibly violent mind with her love of architecture.
  
• His curiosity overtaking his groomed hatred, he used the first chance he had to go to Syka, where he heard tell of a new settlement being built. He figured he could see the humans firsthand, and not rely on the memories of his past lives or those of his father's to decide how he would act towards humans.
