Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

A somewhat agile young lad made his way through a crowd far thicker than it should be, even at this time of day. He attempted to dodge and weave through the crowd, but the throng of individuals made it nearly impossible to do so. Many shouts and screams followed him as he basically shoved and pushed people out of his way, but he seemed to be far from concerned about this.

Instead, he was focused on something else. Something not quite in his range of vision, but somehow he knew he was close. He would have sworn up and down that the two silver miza in his pocket was akin to a key that led one to their Alvadan abode; at least, he would have if he took the time to slow down a bit and actually speak about anything.

Instead, he kept his pace with nary an apology or carefulness. It was lucky no one had a bad spill because he would have felt slightly bad. But not bad enough to stop his search for candy.... Or anything sweet, really.

He had a tendency to spend every miza he had on either as much candy as he could fit in his pockets or some obscure object from supposedly far lands that'd end up lost or broken after about a season and a half. Most didn't last half of a single one, but the best were always put onto his shelf and left there for eternity.

It wasn't long before he had finally found a place that held some baked goods he hadn't seen before. And it certainly wasn't much longer until he went to buy-and-stuff.....

a bell and a half later....

It was nowhere near dark but already, the barely-teen Zion was on his way back home. No evidence, past the absence of jingling miza, was left of his little adventure. He preferred to keep it that way so that he wouldn't fall under the intense scrutiny of his Aunt. Which was never fun for anyone involved.

Used to the small movement of the magnet-like force that attracted his key to his house, he was home far quicker than he wanted to be. Far quicker than he felt was right. "I shouldn't have eaten so fast..." He thought to himself.

He'd stopped outside of his home that wedged between two others that looked just like it. The curtains were drawn and the lights were off. Little to no sound escaped from the house, as per the usual. His naturally downturned lips seemed to grow even more so, and his brows furrowed more deeply than should be possible for a boy his age, which caused wrinkles to appear on his forehead.

There was the hesitation to enter that had become a routine. The moment lacked the expected movement from hand to pocket that would bring about the key to the lock. The moment lacked much of anything past trepidation.
