Tucked along the Patchwork Port is a building that stands on its own. The truth is it's not really a building- it's a boat. The once popular luxury liner used to troll the coast of the mighty Suvan empire. The vessel seems ungainly for a voyage but the inside has been completely outfitted to serve a much greater purpose. The main floor is a gallery for artwork displays and can double as a gala room. Upstairs is a dining area with large balconies, a bar and a decent sized auditorium that can hold sixty people on two levels which surround a modest stage. This beautiful ship has a name on the side, Myleena. The gallery is one massive room broken up by evenly spaced beams that support the upstairs. There are multiple movable dividers but many displays are tacked right to the large wooden pillars. Each one is square and the shoulder width of an average man. The ceiling is ten feet high and there are ingeniously hung braziers, torches and mirrors to illuminate the interior for nighttime festivities. The dining area is luxurious by Alvad standards especially when you consider there is room for almost one hundred people and everyone can use the same flatware. Soft but firm cushions line benches and stools while tables vary from larger round ones for sitting and smaller square ones for leaning. The bar has a massive mirror behind it that bounces light which is cast from the many candles and hanging lanterns that light the room and balconies. The performance space is amazing. Seated in the prow of the ship, the stage is all hardwood and the seats are small but well-made for support. It's too small a stage for musical numbers since there is no orchestra pit but spoken plays and featured musical productions would fit perfectly. The proprietors are an older couple who have dedicated their lives to the arts. The best thing about these folk is that they're so warm, dedicated and knowledgeable about their talents that no one would ever guess that the Deceiver rules their lives. NPCs : Jeremiah Hozier Born on the 30th of Summer in 473 AV, the young man knew nothing of the world as all babies do but his upbringing was something very different from what most Ravokian children experienced. Jeremiah was trained throughout his entire life to be an agent of the Black Sun. With a single Chaon mark and a laundry list of skills, he is of the utmost belief that Rhysol is the center of the universe. As a master of rhetoric, unarmed combat and auristics, Jeremiah runs the bar and dining area. He is an expert in multiple weapons, tactics and endurance and also a Nightstalker. This helps him perform vital functions associated with the true purpose of the boat gallery. Charlotte 'Charlie' Hozier Charlie is younger than her husband but not by much. She was rescued by the Ebonstryfe as a young girl and raised in the Commorancy until she was chosen by the Black Sun to help facilitate the spread of Rhysol's reach into Mizahar. She is as graceful as she deadly. Charlie is a master politician, painter, philterer and sketch artist. She also knows a great deal about planning, poison, stealth, daggers, sailing, seduction and dancing. The fairer of the Hoziers, Charlie paints and draws constantly but it's her beauty that brings many to their vessel. A cunning flirt, she's not above leading men and women on until they buy a piece of her art as consolation since she's obviously very happily married. Samuel Hozier aka Smiles Smiles is Jeremiah's little brother by two years and five days. He, too, grew up indoctrinated into the glory of Rhysol and spreading his will. He is a master manipulator, tracker, navigator, negotiator and swordsman. Smiles is also an expert singer, performer and just as good at projection and flux. He completes the triangle of strong individuals who form the Black Sun's hand in the city of illusions. He is not marked by Rhsyol because he was marked early in life by Rhaus and the God of Corruption figured out a way to use this god's gift to his advantage. Samuel is in charge of the stage and lining up performances as well as hiring help to staff the ship for events. The Hoziers' Gallery and Floating Event Center is just a front. While they seek to spread the news of their lord and savior, Rhysol, they very discreetly snatch small numbers of people and ship them back to Ravok or Kenash to be sold as slaves. All of this is done outside of the public eye, however. If anyone ever gets too curious, a new set of paintings always goes up for sale with the most curious of textures... The White Moon : The slave enterprise would not work if the big and unsightly vessel had to make runs across the Suvan by herself. A Casinor crewed by Rhysol-sympathetic Svefra make the cargo routes with great ease and speed. The name is a simple ploy that amuses the Hoziers who freed the svefra from slavery and bought the small ship. The captain is a woman of no renown for good reason but she's as deadly as any creature on or in the seas. Yvonne Squallscream is a master of the sea-faring arts and can handle anything with a blade but what makes her most deadly is the daring way in which she utilizes her knowledge of tactics and poisons. No one ever realizes that she's upset until they're choking on their own blood.
