Not found on any map, Endrykas is a large migrating tent city wherein the horseclans of Cyphrus gather to trade and exchange information. [Lore]

Back and Forth (Conrad)

Deep within the War Storm Pavilion, in one of the training fields, Leto was practicing with a practice glaive, learning how to wield it, use it, and turn it into a deadly weapon. He was but a beginner though, always messing up his footwork, dropping the glaive, or smacking himself with the dull wooden blade. There was nothing that he didn't believe that he couldn't accomplish though, if he put his mind to it. As he thrusted the wooden blade forwards, his hands hanging upon the wooden shaft, he would thrust it towards a training dummy, missing obviously, but then thrust it again, in a wild attempt to hit the training dummy in the position where the heart would have been.

It would take a lot of practice to get good with this thing, and become competent, but he was willing to put in the effort, as his body was becoming as sharp as his mind. He had a lean physique, and during this winter day, when he was practicing with the practice glaive, he was sweating hard, his shirt was off, and no cloak upon his back. His hair was cut short, the black roots with blonde spikes showing in a strange manner. His body was covered in glyphic tattoes, as well as scars from a previous experience that he had had when he was younger of only the age of thirteen. Striking forwards with the practice glaive once more, he would attempt to strike the heart of the training dummy, but miss, and allowed the glaive to slip from his hands, landing in the dirt behind the training dummy.

Damn, he thought to himself as he went over and picked it up, looking towards the hilt of it, pulling it from the ground into his hands. Turning around towards the training dummy, he would strike at it, again and again, each time his aim missing or getting better, little by little. It wasn't something that he'd get the hang of overnight, but something that he'd practice and practice until he finally got used to it, and worked himself to the bone to make it work. Perhaps he'd have to learn some form of unarmbed combat as well, given one never knew what would come out of his summoning portals as he opened them, and when he opened them. It was a dangerous art, and he needed to know how to protect himself as well as Endrykas if that time ever came, and he was sure that it would at some point in time, considering some of the beast that came through the portals could be relics or fragments, but he hoped to the gods and goddesses that he never summoned something like that...
Back again... for a lil longer this time I hope.

Back and Forth (Conrad)

Postby Conrad on January 30th, 2011, 10:05 pm

Conrad walked into the war pavilion with his parrot perched onto its shoulder and eagerly looked around for a free training dummy to practice his strikes on, from what he saw in the real world his meager skill wouldn't do much to protect him, even with the help of both his magic forms unless he became dependent on magic completely and that was not something he wanted to do. He knew the dangers of using multiple magic's at once and didn't think it was worth the risk to rely on that.
Seeing a free post somewhere at the at the back of the field he quickly walked towards it before it was taken by somebody else, he stopped in surprise though when he was close enough that he could see the man's strange tattoo's covering most of his body, and a closer look revealed that they where attempting to hide them,at least that was what he thought they where doing.
When he realized he was staring he tore his gaze away from the man and quickly went to his training dummy.
"Now little buddy go find something else to sit on, I have to do something," he made a shooing motion towards his parrot. who just squawked and flew off. finding a spot to watch over his boss as he did its strange things.
His shoulder liberated from the parrot he quickly got into the stance he was taught before throwing a punch at the head of the dummy, turning his entire body in it so that he could maximize the force behind it. unfortunately his aim was off and he punched the air missing the head completely.
Conrad growled in annoyance and gave another punch with his right hand, again using his entire body to put power behind it this time ramming it in the dummies 'face' with a satisfying tud.
He smiled at his tiny success and began repeating the movement untill it would be so ingrained he didn't have to think about using his entire body anymore but it would just be a reflex.
