Appearance: Abner toys the line between masculinity and femininity. While he has the slightly heavier facial bones of a man, his slender neck, long fingers, and willowy figure all lend credence to the feminine. His skin is a subtle caramel shade, which makes it easy for him to hide his beard for performances. He has large brown eyes that seem hazel in bright sunlight, and he typically augments his thin lips with plentiful amounts of face paint. He is tall, 6'0", and takes scrupulous care of his clothing. You will never find Abner willingly in anything ripped, torn or dirty.
Character ConceptAbner specializes in acting, specifically female characters. He is fussy, dignified, and feisty. When in drag he prefers to be called Abby. While he is a difficult person to get close to and some might even say a little confrontational, Abner is a sensitive soul at heart. He can be kind and generous, so long as these sorts of things aren't publicly seen. He has a reputation to uphold, after all.
Character HistoryAbner was born in Sunberth. His parents were bards. They excelled at mummery, and managed to cultivate a small following performing small pieces in public squares before they were killed. Abner was a young kelvic by then, and had picked up a bit of his parents' talent. He has little illusions of how dangerous Sunberth can be, and hopes to one day destroy the Daggerhands that killed his family for no other reason than annoyance with their performances.
His hard upbringing on the streets has turned Abner into a feisty businessman (or woman, as the need arises) with an ear to the ground when it comes to the movements of gangs. He makes himself useful by sheer observation, and the use of his alternative form. Since cats are so commonplace, no one really pays attention to an orange tabby slinking around Sunberth.
Abner continues on his family business, if for no other reason than to eat. He makes a small amount of gold on the side mending clothing.
