The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Over the course of the Summer, Savis Maren's hopes and dreams within the city of Lhavit began to die away. She'd been rendered mute, turned into an undead lamp and numerous other strange arcane mutations that lashed about. While the Nuit initially gave up on any hope in assimilating into the culture, once the effects began to diminish her dreams and aspirations came flooding back to her undead heart. The Nuit reveled in her release from the prison that was humiliation and emerged from it both ambitious and determined to act upon it. Purpose flooded the Nuit once again and with it, the desire to live flooded every fibre of her being. It was the purpose of a being saved from death, and yet... her life was never in danger. Savis Maren let laughter bubble from her lips as she drew to her full height. Thin and malnourished as her corpse looked, the Nuit's gait was slow as she spun, taking care not to fall to her death from the motion before she listened to Eleutheria's retort. Was she so eager to leave? It struck the Nuit as odd that she didn't take her invitation, but as she considered the young woman's invitation, it seemed better suited for Savis to join her, instead.
She shrugged her shoulders, considering the thought for a moment. The path back to the city proper was by no means short, but their need to cross bridges and watch their step might take their focus. Savis Maren hummed in thought before she motioned to the philterer before her. "That seems reasonable to me. After you, then, dear Elea." The moniker seemed to stick, for the Nuit enjoyed how it seemed to add to her preferred nickname. The undead Nuit's male features turned to form a smile before she allowed her to step in front of the Nuit. Savis Maren took one last look at the flowing streams that led to the cascading falls. She tipped her head once before she tucked her things away into her rucksack. Slinging the bag over her shoulder, she took care in ensuring that her actions weren't too strenuous as to mar her unliving body. When Elea began to lead the way, she'd answer her final inquiry.
"Sahova was not my home for very long. The Alahean citadel is home to many mages whose knowledge and... apathy stretched far wider than my own. The place has wonders of Animation that I could scarcely imagine. It was effortless to find shells to replace bodies given in to rot. Powerful mages who stretch the very limits of their disciplines dwell within the high walls and their secrets are theirs to have. I served a powerful Projector in my tenure within the city. I was taught very little but offered my assistance to him in order to gain access to greater power. The Sahovan Nuit are greedy and centered only on furthering their knowledge. The sacrifice of flesh and blood that mortals needed to give for that knowledge is what cast me out from the place. I'll not tell you what the Sahovan mages knew, but rather, I'll encourage you to find answers with the mages of Lhavit. This city relies on magic as well, but without taking life to perpetuate its practice."
With the city of Lhavit preserving her safety, Savis Maren found that ruthlessness began to fade away. She sought the path of least resistance and was content to flatter and offer promises in order to cultivate the bonds she needed to continue her studies.
I won't pretend to know everything. If I did, there's no hope for success. There are others that possess knowledge and understanding I do not... And with the help of my craft I can utilize that knowledge to my advantage, she mused. The Nuit's mind worked with an eye to the future and she was glad to see where Elea might fit within her ambitions.
"You told me of your previous home... But I wonder, my dear Elea, why did you leave home? Sylira and Kalea are quite far from one another... You can't pretend that such a trek doesn't have other motives."
Was she pressing too far? She didn't know but her curiosity got the best of her as they continued through the Trail of Waterfalls and back towards Lhavit.

As Elea heard of the Sahov's Nuit, it gave her a lot to think. She too, craved knowledge and the power that followed. The Nuit that her new friend described, craved it enough to banish themselves from death and pursue it forever. She wondered what was it like to work for one... how hard did their sanity suffered? Sure, the undead don't think like the living, especially young living. But from what Elea could already learn and experience, she already knew this:
Mysteries are fire. Truth burns.
Perhaps the mysteries Savis offered, burned brighter than any sun. Nonetheless, she replied to the Nuit near her:
"Learning. I seek to learn and master alchemy further. Because Ravok taught me all it could about it, I decided to arrive.. here. There's all there is to that, I'm this fixed on that. They said I'm out of my mind to move here indeed, but I said that they're right.. yet that mind is still mine."
Even though Elea knew of the dangers of mysteries, she'd hope to learn them from all she'd find. Not all knowledge comes from books: Some comes from experience, other comes from unusual individuals. Like eccentric to outright mad world mages. Or the Nuit. Nonetheless... the greater risk, the greater rewards and if Elea was more than looking forward to earn her way up. That is, assuming the Nuit would not prove to be like her Sahova kin. Elea's unsettling and fear was still present, reminding her to ensure she'd exchange, rather than give away knowledge. No doubt Savis would take from Sahovan behavior, even if unwittingly.
Mysteries are fire. Truth burns.

Elea's answer was very simple, but it was what the Nuit liked to hear. To encounter like-minded individuals, curious about the nature of the arcane was her reason for entering Lhavit as well. There was a darkness within the Nuit's path and she hoped to leave it along with the world behind. Rather than suffer through the ugliness of the outside world, she sought to immerse herself in beauty and knowledge. A measure of tranquility set within Savis Maren's soul. It welled within her without reaching the surface. The Nuit's pallid expression and male body contradicted the feminine gait she took. Her step meant to follow Elea's pace, though the walkway prohibited the two from remaining side to side. With the alchemist in front of her, the Nuit let djed flow through the body, thrust into her gaze.
Pleasure rolled through the undead's spine as the djed within her eyes let her read into the aura of her companion. The woman's presence was quiet, with her aura unremarkable to the senses. It told the Nuit, first and foremost, that the practice of personal magicks wasn't likely with this one. This was in line with what Elea told her and the Nuit was satisfied not to pry deeper for information. She caught wisps that rose from the woman's aura, as it had before. However, it seemed the wisps that represented fear had begun to dissipate, however little it had.
Maybe she's beginning to see that I mean no harm. the Nuit thought as she studied Elea's aura. It seemed to taper over itself, sheltering the woman in its presence. Was that to mean a guarded personality? Savis Maren hoped with time to discover more. The Nuit's vision blurred and she felt fatigue set about her senses. A strain in between her eyes brought fingers to seek to dissolve the sensation, well before Savis realized the futility of the motion. She let the Sight flicker into nothingness, a soft 'tch' escaping her lips as the Nuit mused upon what Eleutheria was thinking.
Their walk was not a talkative one, but luckily, it was not a long one, either. They were well into the city proper before Savis spoke again. She seemed to have trouble with her step, shoulders heaving once. Without breathing, it was difficult to tell whether or not she truly was troubled. At least, from the outside. She stepped forward again, a hand reaching out to grasp at Eleutheria's shoulder before she encouraged the young woman,
"Are you so pressed for time? I have a mind to spend some more time away from home. At least enough time to enlighten you. A world mage like you might not know what it is to invoke personal djed. If it interests you, I can try to teach you."
