Aptly named, Kyala definitely looks a bit 'sharp' for lack of better terms. Angular shapes make up most of her body, from her torso, to her limbs. She stands around 5'5", with a tense posture, and an energetic gait. She is lithe, almost spiderly or perhaps catlike, her muscles defined, but lacking mass. Her shoulders are a little wide, but round. her chest rather average, perhaps small even, and her legs are rather long and gangly even. Her hands are awkwardly larger, great for holding a bow, but against her rather light build, seem a bit out of proportion.
The motif doesn't end there. Kyala's face tends to be more structured then round. High cheekbones, pointed chin, and her nose even seems to be a bit sharp and defined. Peachy, usually dry and chapped lips tend to rest in a non-welcoming, passive-aggresive scowl. Her skin is a mix of a dark beige or light tan, the tone a little uneven, particularly on her face, and cheeks, as well as the shoulders and hips. Thin, dark eyebrows rest above an intense green gaze, mimicking a dirty or muted spring green, which seems dulled by what seems to be persistent dark circles around her eyes.
Kyala's windmark starts at the midway region of her left leg, and reaches up her body, stretching around her left breast onto her left forearm. It seems to be a swirl of winds constantly chasing into each other, with one turmoil after another, with no real defining figure or image to discern from it. A concoction of hurricanes if you will, in an tribal fashion.
Otherwise, Kyala would look very much like any other Drykas would. Being a member of the Emerald clan, Kyala favors deep earthy greens and browns. She tends to wear light, and favors pants and tunics over anything flashy. She has pierced ears, and tends to wear all sorts of odd jewelery that she finds in her travels, favoring bracers and bracelets. She wears the bangs of her hair in a few braids, wrapped with green ribbons, to help keep her hair out of her face. Which is really but a tragic attempt as her hair is thick, wild, and unruly, extremely curly, despite her best efforts to tame it. During hunts, travel, or heat, Kyala may use a wrap as an half-hearted bandana just to keep the damn mane back long enough for her to enjoy some comfort.
Character Concept
The Edgeleaf clan could not have been any more proud to produce such a tempered huntress. Kyala represents a lot of what people expect out of an excellent predator. Clever, cunning, and nimble. In the same vein, she also holds a lot of those traits that aren't as desired, such as a short temper, lack of foresight, amongst many other flaws. Upon meeting Kyala, some may find her intimidating, or aggressive, based on her posture and tone. Like many Drykas, Kyala is strong willed and expressive. It's just in her case that she tends to come off as very edgy, or tense when she's addressing people. She doesn't seem to be aware, (and if she is? She doesn't seem to care really either..) and usually disregards the discomfort she causes as a sign of weakness.
Once that shock wears off, people can have a variety of interesting interactions. Some easy observations is that she does lack self control, and may not necessarily see the consequences of her actions when she does indulge on a decision. She is a partaker of life's luxuries, and absolutely enjoys food. She enjoys challenges, particularly mental ones, and is very content trying to solve a riddle or play with a wooden puzzle. She is intelligent, but it's not refined. She has a strong memory, but it's not used actively.
She is proud, and arrogant. She has the pride of being a Drykas, as well as being a very successful hunter. The pride of having (what she believes) to be the most excellent strider. She is extremely confident in her abilities and skills that she has honed- particularly hunting, and is consistently on the lookout for her next conquest. That being said, she is also a sore loser. Kyala does not handle negative emotions well, in any shape or form. It leads to explosive fights and words that should have been left unsaid. Decisions that should not be made. So far, Kyala is lucky that the bridges she has burned as a result of this behavior have not hurt her yet- but it's definitely a weakspot, and bound to get her arm cut off or something silly like that one day.
Kyala does have friends, and does keep people close. Arguably, her sense of relationship building is long, and drawn out. She picks her people very carefully, (most likely as a result of protecting her pride) and will observe a potential relationship for a great deal of time, testing their resolve in many indirect ways before committing herself to them. (Because she is, indeed, that arrogant in believing people must prove something to her.) Those who have though find that she's a very loyal, albeit territorial and energetic friend to have.

It was a relief when she finally was able to start participating on her first hunts. The energy she would diverge into these efforts would calm her greatly, and pay off in sweet meat and pelt that could make any Drykas parent proud.
And such, that was how her way would be paved. While her older sibling would prove to be an effective member in various politics, her younger sisters and brothers learned other gifts of their family, or were groomed to be wed. Kyala dedicated herself to the hunt, perhaps a bit more then should be allowed. She was constantly scolded for her greedy ambition, seeking out prey too large, or perhaps not needed by the pavillion at the time. Something Kyala more or less ignored, because the thrill she got from the conquest was something unspeakable or relatable.
Or so she thought. Kyala's strider apparently felt similar impulses and urges, albeit not in the hunt, but in the success. In what was more or less a boast of superiority to other rivals, Kyala 'hunted' her strider at the age of 17. And through that 'hunt', showed that Kyala's strength and the horse's finesse would be a pretty good team! And by teaming up together to overcome yet another juvenile challenge, ended up bonding and growing into the pair they are now. The hunter now had the perfect companion. Everything was going pretty smoothly for her.
At least, until recently.
Kyala may be a bit of a hothead, and a jerk. But Kyala does hold some people very sacred. She has a very protective bond over the few friends that she does call hers. She has had romantic incursions every once in a while. And she views herself as close to her siblings. Extremely so- and showers them with gifts from her hunts and conquests, even though she never expresses how deeply she cares for them. Coming home from an hunting trip, it was revealed that one of Kyala's siblings had gone missing, one that have yet to recieve their windmark. And they were having difficulty tracking her. Which was odd, in the Sea of Grass, the Web they maintained- how could such a thing happen? This distraught Kyala. And despite more sagely advice from her elders, and fueled by her own pride- Kyala pledged to find out what would happen to that sister. She scoured the grasslands every day, looking, hunting, searching.. using every skill she had.
Until something tipped her off to a land outside of the Sea. Rumors of slavers. Rumors of magics able to potentially make what seemed impossible- possible. And rumors of a young woman matching Kyala's mental description potentially leaving the grassland..? The search widened. Kyala jumped on her horse- and thus, the greatest hunt she started began.

Kyala's favorite bow was gifted to her as a reward for being successful as a huntress. It was made by the crafty hands of Ruby clan members, and despite the obvious wear from years of use, such as the handle engravings growing, soft, some slight cracks, etc, still is Kyala's most trusted tool in the hunts she chases. It has a matching quiver, which is a deep grey clay, with pale white threading in various floral shapes along the seam.

Kyala has a tent. It is a fairly standard tent. Something you would most likely see in Cyphrus as a Drykas. She also has a horse, which really isn't a possession, nor a house, but definitely a highlight and a center of attention.
Kyala's strider, known as 'Tempest.' is a claybank horse with darker legs. This horse is in excellent shape, and has intricate braidings within the dark, black mane of the stallion. One fun braid to note rests towards the shoulder. This one has various beads or bones alongside the braid, and contains the small tokens of Kyala's travels and conquests that she had shared with her strider.
