The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Lhavit was always beautiful, especially when the sun was going down. Myra was sure she would never get used or accustomed to it's beauty and wonder with it's skyglass and unique colors..even some of the insects were beautiful. Tonight was no different and perhaps even more so. Myra was outside her cottage looking up to the sky as lights moved across in the night. She had seen the typical shooting star before but she never seen anything like this. Watching the sky reminded her that there was so much going on in the world than her simple little life, that there were still so many things that were unexplained and undiscovered. She began to wonder what was causing these magical rain showers in the sky and where they came from. What gods created them and why, if they had a purpose or if they were simply here for people to watch and reflect on, instead of making that cup of tea she had wanted to make nearly a bell ago.

Since coming to Lhavit, Myra spent more time observing the beauty of the world she lived in rather than the corruption and politics that Ravok offered. It was a welcome change and she found herself really being able to picture really being able to achieve her goals and dreams here. She observed as one of the stars as she day.. er.. night dreamed? It seemed to be coming right towards her. And it was. The star continued falling from the sky, engulfed in flames as it crashed into the ground down the path from her but out of view. There was a loud thud that rumbled the ground beneath her feet. Surely something so small couldn't have done that much damage right? Standing in shock for a moment, she heard someone in the distance scream. They must have been just as startled, or maybe someone had been hit by it. Myra looked up again quickly to be sure no more were coming in to attack. It seemed to be just the one. For now. The young woman exhaled finally. She must have been holding her breath, forgetting to breathe.

Quickly, Myra made her way towards where she thought the star must have fallen. Dust was in the air from the impact and she covered her mouth and nose the best she could with her forearm, trying to breathe through the sleeve of her shirt rather than the open air. "Hello? Is anyone hurt?" She called out, dust settling by the time she found the place where the star landed. Strangely enough, no one else had come to investigate. There was a large hole in the ground not far from other cottages. How lucky that it didn't land on someone's home. Still shaken up but more curious than anything, Myra approached the strange new hole in the ground. It was bigger than she was in width all around, and in the very center of the crater there was a small stone she could make out. The woman stood on the edge of the opening for some time, peering around suspiciously. Still, no one else came to see what the commotion was about. Myra didn't wait any longer. It wasn't every day that a rock fell from the sky from somewhere unknown. Very carefully, the young lady climbed down to the bottom of the crater that luckily wasn't as deep as it was wide and with much caution she leaned down to take a closer look.

Perhaps it wasn't one of her better ideas but she was sure the rock was most likely harmless. It had already done it's damage and it was just a rock after all. First she nudged it with her boot, and then with her right hand, Myra reached for it and picked it up off the ground. The rock was still warm, almost hot to the touch and had an interesting texture. How big was the rock before it caught fire and plummeted into the earth? She couldn't help but wonder, now holding it with both hands, bringing it closer to her face to get a better look. It was almost perfectly round aside from tiny crevices that were all throughout it. She slowly turned the rock around in her hands to get a better look at all sides.

"Oh my! What the heck happened?" Myra was startled and stood up fast at the sound of a voice. She nearly dropped the rock but managed not to, turning towards the voice with a shrug. "Looks like one of those stars from the sky crashed here." She replied, looking up from the bottom of the crater. Myra held the rock up towards the other woman. "I somehow thought it would look a bit different. Seems pretty normal to me." Myra continued, now crawling out of the hole with the sky rock in her hand. The other woman leaned in to take a peek but made no attempt to reach for it.

After a small conversation and a couple more people finally coming out of their homes to get a look, Myra decided to take the stone back to her home to decide what to do with it. If anything it would make a good souvenir. A memory of that one time a star fell from the sky and almost landed on her neighbor's cottage. She chuckled at the thought as she opened the door to her home. The rock was placed on her kitchen table and examined more, thinking if she shaved a few pieces off it maybe she could see what it was made of? Was it unique or something that was already known? Maybe instead she could take it somewhere where actual skilled people could study it and figure out what it is. But then she probably wouldn't be able to keep it.. besides, she kept getting a strange feeling that it needed to stay near her. So many thoughts went through her mind but eventually she drifted off to sleep with her head in her arms on the table.

A couple bells later: Myra awoke in the middle of the night with an eerie feeling. Something didn't seem right. She couldn't quite figure out what was bothering her so she brushed it off, only wanting to go back to sleep. The rock was still where she left it on the table but she was still too tired to think much about it. Myra got to her feet groggily and made her way to her bed. Something still felt off but she was sure it was because she was so tired and wasn't used to passing out at her table. Myra kicked off her boots and crawled into bed. She was asleep again almost as her head hit her pillow.

To be a kid again

Morning:
Opening her eyes slowly, the woman felt much more rested and awake. She sat up in bed and stretched, feeling sort of odd still. That's when Myra noticed her sleeves looked extra long on her tunic. She looked..her arms looked shorter. Very strange. Myra tried to get out of bed and noticed her legs didn't reach down as far as they should either, and tripped over the extra fabric from the bottom of her pants. Now it was time for the panic to set in. This body was not her own! She shrieked, stumbling completely out of bed and fell to her half size knees. Even her voice was different; higher pitched. Her heart was racing as confusion and fear set in, unsure what the hell was going on and why it happened. She pinched herself to see if she was still dreaming, praying she was and she'd wake up any moment but it was all real. Her entire body was different. Frantically strugging to her feet, Myra started feeling around to see what was different. Her chest! Her breasts were gone! What sort of nightmare was this? Her perfect hips were also gone. She had the hips of a child now. Myra's eyes went wide. "Gods, I'm a child!" She screamed out to no one. Panic set in and she felt like she was unable to breathe. Myra plopped down onto the floor near her bed, hugging her knees and tried to think more clearly. What could have caused this? The star.

She took a deep breath and slowly stood up, pants almost falling off her lack of hips as she did but that was the least of her problems. Myra looked towards the bed and spotted the rock sitting there. Hadn't she left it on the table? Maybe if she got rid of it the curse or whatever this was would reverse and she could have her voluptuous hips and breasts again. Myra slid her sleeve up and grabbed the rock, stepping on her pants until they slid off completely, though her shirt was long enough it was like she was wearing a dress anyway. Once she got to the door the now little girl chucked it as far as she could (which wasn't very far) and slammed the door shut again. She leaned against the door, frozen in place as if the flimsy door would protect her from whatever spell was cast on her. And then she waited, hoping she would go back to her own body instantly. Of couse that wasn't the case and Myra was left disappointed and scared. What if she was stuck like this?

Upon further inspection, she realized that it in fact was her own body. She had the same markings and skin as if she had gone backwards many years in age. "Worst case I am like this and in another 15 years I'll be back to myself." She thought to try and calm herself. She wondered if anyone else was affected or just her. No one else touched the star but her, she recalled. And she was the idiot that brought it home.

When she looked down to her legs so she could see just how much she shrank, she spotted something by her foot. It was the rock! Was she going crazy? She had a hard time believing that. Did she really toss it outside? She was sure she had, and recalled how it moved to the bedroom on its own too. As crazy as it sounds it somehow must be connected to her. Myra scooped up the rock and shuffled over to the kitchen to see if she could find something to break it with. She tried with different kitchen tools and even tried to crush it under the leg of her chair. Nothing. Not even a scratch. It seemed like this rock was unbreakable. After many failed attempts she gave up defeated but still hopeful that things will get better.

After what seemed like days, Myra began to calm down and think straight. She wasn't dead or even injured, nothing seemed wrong with her besides the obvious. Sure, she couldn't reach the top shelf anymore but she could manage. Most women would kill too look younger. This was a bit extreme but it couldn't be that bad, right? She might not get to date anyone her own age or be taken seriously for years, but she could probably get away with more too. She grinned ay the thought of her parents and everyone else she knew seeing her like this. It was an interesting story to tell at least. And amusing to think how people would react when she showed to work, or if she tried to go out to a tavern. It's probably a good thing she didn't feel the need to drink too often. Ah well.

The little girl sighed and looked around for her pants again so she could get out of the house and go shopping. She slipped them on and folded the waist down a few times, and had to cuff the legs a couple times as well so she wouldn't trip this time. The shirt was a lost cause so she pushed them up the sleeves up the best she could. If she was going to be like this for a while, some better fitting clothes would probably be needed.
