Appearance: Chiseled, defined, toned, muscled. These are terms you would probably not use in describing a woman. However, when it comes to Radia, these terms are spot on. She is not soft by any means. She sports a short, golden blonde hair style something similar a boy might wear. It it normally swept to the side, but otherwise she does very little with it and allows it to do as it wishes so long as it stays out of her eyes. She is fit, and healthy with a mass that can compete against any other male body. Radia stands at a towering 6 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs nearly 210 lbs. She is as strong as she looks and each muscle is defined by the amount of labor she has put into her physique. With sun kissed golden brown eyes, her face is strong and lean with a square shape, rather than a soft oval one most feminine women seem to have.

Her hands and feet are calloused from the rigors of manual labor. Her nails are usually cracked, her complexion is normally dirty with heavy splotches of dirt and mud on her clothes. While she does not mean to look like a pig in a stye, she works hard and cares little for the way she looks towards men, rarely giving any notice to them with her shallow and narrowed eyes.

Character Concept

Radia is in search of meaning in her life. Something she can dedicate while honoring the code of chivalry. Protecting, honoring and exemplifying truth, justice through any quest given to her. She is bound by laws of a righteous crusader, to never do mindless harm and to always be prepared in face of any situation that may disgrace her or her companions. Radia lives to serve and serves to live. She is without question a lawful entity and will do what is needed for justice and governed balance. In terms of evil, darkness, or any shadow that threatens to overcome her, she will vanquish it until it is no more.

She is a deeply religious woman as well, giving honor and praise to Priskil and praying in general every night before she sleeps. She is honor bound to tell the truth, she will never tell a lie, and she will never fabricate a story to her advantage even against crimes she may be accused of.

Character History

She was born in the cruelest winter of Denval's time in 487. Her father wanted a boy because, what man didn't want a son? But instead, he was given a girl. He was woefully let down but it didn't stop him from loving her any less. However, the birthing of Radia was difficult and mortal for his loving wife, Reese, who died shortly after giving birth. It was dark times for the poor fishing family, but he knew great things would come of Radia.

He didn't bother teaching Radia how to dress pretty, or be ladylike, instead when she was old enough he had given her a weighted practice sword and had her train and watch the Knights as they came in through town. He would teach her how to hunt, how to fish, and how to survive but at the cost of learning to read and write. Radia was an extraordinary girl, but she was often bullied because of her fast growth rate and even towering over some older boys. She was taught to never raise her fist against those who could not defend themselves, her father was an honorable man if not but a little naive. However, these early concepts groomed her to be a loyal, respected member of the community.

As the years continued, she kept on growing, getting stronger and helping her father in his elderly ages of life when he could not do as much as he could. She was a pillar of the community, often helping the city in whatever repairs it needed.

In the Spring of 508, her father passed away from sickness. He was buried in the cemetery in Denval next to their mother. Although they were poor, she was able to get a nice tombstone for her father and would do what she could for her mother's grave which had only a cross made of oak. While sad, she found insight at chapels and attended religious congregations regularly. She often wept at night for the passing of her father and prayed to Gods that his soul would rest in peace.

She soldiered on and continued to do what she needed. She helped the fisherman, the carpenter, the City Guard, anything that kept her mind and hands busy. She would work long hours, having nothing to dissuade her from her passing life. Yet, she felt bored and lonely even among the community she was in. She dared not to think of a life outside of Denval, but was somewhat scared to believe this is all that life had to offer.

In the year of 512, the Djed Storm had hit Denval. Much chaos had grown rampant in the course of a short period of time. Through the dust and falling building, Radia had done everything in her power to protect the children and women who had been trapped within their homes and cried to get free. It was a grueling period of days, and her darkest memory was holding onto a little girl's hand while she was buried under rock. Despite Radia's pleas for help to others, no one would come to her aid. But she stayed with the nameless girl until her final breath gave way.

Cheeks stinging with tears, she gave a mighty war cry and vowed to never allow such a calamity to befall upon another living person. When things had settled, her home was destroyed. People began to leave the city in search of something of a life now that it was stripped from them.

Radia left as well, knowing full well she could not live in those conditions. She went for Sunberth and made her home there, but it would never truly be her home, it was just a place...until something better came a long, whatever that may be.
