The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Study and practice, study and practice. The treat of an excursion is necessary lest insanity take a grip of the mind, she reasoned as she pushed forth the door of her apartment. Savis Maren carried nothing with her at all, but the turning wheels of her prized automaton trailed behind her. Unlike Sil, who was constantly at odds between being useful and an unworthy mistake this automaton truly won Savis Maren's respect. Its spherical wheels turned on the terrain, requiring constant motion when 'on' in order to retain its balance. It made the automaton stick out as Savis led it onward, and certainly, the citizenry of Lhavit turned their heads to see the metallic construct follow its mistress. Of course, other automata within the city did exist, and they were much finer and less clunky in appearance than this one. However, those fine-tuned constructs required resources and expertise that Savis neither possessed nor could she afford.

I am quite pleased with it, though. Wheels' understanding of its directives is absolute. The results of keeping them direct and to the point she reasoned as the metallic construct followed her every movement. It was as her shadow, turning when she did and the Nuit couldn't be sure if the glances towards her were out of fear of her condition or astonishment from seeing Wheels.

Perhaps I'll never know. The common folk in this city are beneath my notice
she reasoned, keeping her gaze forward. The Nuit covered herself in her coat, the dull, gray clothing she was given during the Rituals of Transference hidden behind the garment that fell well past her hips. Buttoned up against exposure, Savis feared not the chill, but exposure, as she made her way to Alheas Park. The Nuit visited the place in the past, a chilling encounter with a delightfully charming young man proving them the other's foil. Savis never saw Haneht after that fateful encounter but remembered him fondly in the time when she had no matters pressing for her attention.

The light of Syna cast a vivid golden glow as the celestial orb battled through the sky and towards the distant crest of the moon. The meeting between the Gods wasn't due for another few bells, and certainly, that meeting should prove her calling and a swift return to her home. Alheas Park never needed the light of Syna to stay luminous, however. While the Sun Goddess danced through the sky and buildings shrouded some of that life, the pale blues and greens of the floral luminescence shone throughout Alheas Park. The glow bathed the Nuit in a very queer light, conflict present within her whether or not she enjoyed the sight of it. The park, without debate, was utterly magnificent, and without the heavy fog obscuring it from view she relished in being there regardless.

The Nuit allowed her gaze to fall through the tall grasses and weeds that filled the park, watching the various forms of the wildlife that settled within. Particularly, the Nuit's interests lie in the shadowy bobcats that stalked through the grasses. They were some of the largest cats she'd seen face-to-face, but she knew that greater felines existed and this sort was hardly one to feel threatened by. Instead, she was fascinated, watching as the tiny predatorial beast sifted into the grasses, cloaking itself in the reeds and weeds before those glossy amber eyes it had moved throughout. Certainly, it was in search of prey, and Savis Maren had the briefest thought of what she might glean from it if she took it with her to use as a Source.

Of course, I won't learn anytime soon,
she mused, a wistfulness in her gait. The conditions of her existence in Lhavit weren't very strict, but surely, the laws of the city wouldn't allow her to "appropriate" a wild animal housed in its walls.

Besides, animals are an inferior intelligence. Using a small predator as a Source surely isn't the best option, she quipped internally, wanting to diminish her interest in the beast even as it captured and snapped the neck of a squirrel.

Truly a shame, isn't it?

[Alheas Park] The Mysterious Unknown (Eleutheria)

Why was there a shrubbery floating around in Elea’s dreams?

This innocuous piece of flora, shrubbery, never left Elea’s dreams. Whether she floated to the skies, under the sea, or through the land in them, a same small shrubbery was always to be seen. Elea felt she could go mad by just thinking about it, but seemed too adaptable in mindset to do so. There’s a jest somewhere. If it’s not in the shrubbery, it’s in the mindset placed towards it. The latter is more probable, so Elea went with that.

The sunrise was cold and there was a slight rain, so she put on her recently bought sweater and full cape, as well as the hood. Work was off today and the desire to visit library was sated, so more exploration was in order. The Alheas Park on the brochure first caught her eye, then her route.

It was a place of dense and weird forestry, turning almost into the swamp. It seemed like no one should really be seeing anything curious in there, but the dense vegetation shielded from the light rain, for now, so Elea moved forthright. She remembered quite well more than a few of the herb ingredients she used at work: After all, she wrote about them in her diary. So her eyes danced around her, scrying the ground for anything. Nothing of value to find yet. No surprise: One should venture into the wilderness, or an other place rarely visited, to have a good chance of finding something.

Wait, why gather herbs if one can farm them?

It would not be easy or doable with every plant, but all one really needs is to replicate and perhaps augment natural growing conditions, right? The library is bound to have more information about specific plants too: so Elea had both the means and the how’s in sight. Purchase some plants, or even their seeds and put that garden of yours to use, you red riding hood. You were entrepreneurial enough to leave home and set up in this weird place, why not grow some herbs? You could philter with them. Eventually, even transmute them…
BLAM!
Okay, no more musing while walking, lest you hit a tree again. Elea wasn’t hurt, but was still annoyed. Her face was intact.
Plus she wasn’t alone, again. Again, in place meant to be deserted, a spectral-like presence was seething around. A known one, this time. Same one as the one from the cave.

Elea felt a bit like a loner for having an undead as her foremost non-professional acquaintance. But, she never aspired or claimed to be a people person.
“We meet again! Is your day going well?” – she asked, in a typically mortal fashion. She knew this was not how Savis thought, but Elea wasn’t Savis. She should enjoy her mortal speech so long as her life went on.

[Alheas Park] The Mysterious Unknown (Eleutheria)

The world outside of Lhavit's walls was harsh and cruel. The Nuit dodged a permanent death the day she'd secured her sanctuary, but even still, the splendor of the natural world did not escape her. Alheas Park was but one of many examples of the splendor that Lhavit offered, but it was a distraction. The beauty of the world was a distraction from the aspects of the arcane that was her goal. The Nuit required levity, lest she drive herself insane with the indulgences she set course towards, and her distraction was secured to the point that she hardly noticed the familiar woman until her voice called out in the distance. Eleutheria looked rather disoriented, clear annoyance set on her features. Did something just happen to her? The Nuit arched her eyebrows when the mortal approached, then she asked a question of her that required at the very least, some thought.

"We meet again! Is your day going well?"

The casual addressing of the Nuit did not escape her, with the words minced without the calling of her name. There was no preamble to her interaction, and Savis was addressed nearly like a friend. She supposed, after the trials the two went through, they were more than acquaintances, at least. She shrugged a shoulder, turning to face Eleutheria properly before she approached. The Nuit moved in a slow, shambling walk, her footfalls far heavier than a mortal's of her size and weight might be. She nodded before she looked away from the mortal girl and forward, deeper into Alheas Park.

"Indeed, it is, Elea. Are you alone, dear girl?" she asked, allowing sweetness to pour into her tone. Savis Maren looked forward, into the distance as she stepped forward. The Nuit hardly cared for niceties and did not look at Eleutheria after she spoke. Instead, she waved on the mortal as she asked,

"Will you accompany me? The Park is a grand place to unwind a bit, but perhaps you, like myself, fancy a bit of exploration?" she asked. Of course, it was so simple to crave exploration in the enclosed environment of Lhavit. The outside world never elicited such an urge within the Nuit, who did not crave wild, dangerous adventure as a means of distraction. She'd never learned to defend herself properly before taking shelter in Lhavit, and certainly the city's safety never encouraged her to learn. Perhaps it was correct for her to develop a desire to learn such things, but she set the idea aside in favor of a bit of satisfaction of curiosity. Deeper she wished to delve, and familiar presence joining her in that venture appealed further to her.

"I've been here once before. In the Summer, when the city was so blanketed in fog. I never got my chance to delve deeper and see... more. Come, if you'd like," she asked again. The Nuit advanced, not waiting for Eleutheria to join her. If the mortal was so inclined, she'd very quickly catch up with the Nuit's pace.
