Gran Mitzr

Birthday: 16, Spring, 494.
Starting City: Sunberth
Birthplace Zeltiva

Appearance: Gran is a fairly tall man usually standing a head higher than the average human. With his height, he inherited a lanky build. His hair is usually a mop of shaggy brown hair, its color not too far off dark chocolate. His hair has a few spots of silver hairs from premature greying. His skin is fair and pale, spotted with the occasional scar from working as a youth.

the first thing people usually notice is his hawk-like eyes. A shade of light brown almost kin to yellow in color. They seem to pierce into the heart of anyone he gazes upon. A keen and intelligent look. His nose is sharp and proud point upwards ever so slightly. He has a small scar running through his right eyebrow. He has a bad habit of not shaving regularly so he almost always has a five o'clock shadow. His beard is speckled with red hair and black amongst the black.

he wears a dark green long-sleeved shirt, brown trousers, and a faded black cloak which he usually keeps tightly closed. More so to keep himself from feeling the chill air. In his right hand, at least while out, his walking stick can be seen.

Character Concept
Gran is a flamboyant man, often taking his moods to their heights. When feeling good he’s over the top, and often chatty or charitable. While on the other hand when he’s down he often mopes or sulks and avoids others to extreme extents. The only exception is when he’s working. He becomes single minded and suffers from tunnel vision to the point where he will go with food, water or sleep and sometimes resulting in him collapsing. Interrupting him results in his unchecked anger and he often does or says things he later regrets when he comes back down.
Aside with his mood swings and single-minded ways he has a small problem with drinking where he often pours his meager savings into the bottom of a pint.

In the name of his science and learning he has no moral boundaries willing to do anything to meet the end he seeks. He often wishes to experiment on the living or dead in order to gain more insight and knowledge. Other than seeking knowledge he doesn’t care much about morals not going out of his way to breaking any code or laws, but in a pinch he’s prone to try and bend the rules to his whims.

He enjoys reading and learning and some would say he has a small addiction to both. He loves a good beer or liquor, although it doesn’t actually have to be good. He likes small living quarters somewhere he can be secluded for studying.

He despises cold food, being interrupted and being cold in general.
He loathes being poor and out of money, ducks, his drinking and books that can’t be learned from.

Character History
Born to a Merchant family in Zeltiva, growing up was an average affair for Gran. His mother taught him to read and write while his father taught him basic counting and math. His father would often travel for his business selling his products and other things.
As he grew older, he sometimes accompanied his father on voyages, and would assist him in his business deals. It was clear shortly after he had no talent or head for buying and selling. Even resulting in a decent loss of money on his father’s side. Afterwards he wasn’t viewed the same by his father. His younger brother and sister were born shortly after his fourteenth birthday. He struggled with the fact that having been an only child he was no longer the center of attention either good or bad. Roald and Maria were twins born to his parents.

At sixteen he used the money had had saved while helping his father and decided to strike out on his own chartering a boat to Sunberth. He subsisted on manual labor to keep his housing and various other odds and ends to help him survive. Even for a time writing his own books on his basic research.
